[It's been a couple months since he last came on the network but that's not about to bother this Fae. He's all smiles as he comes up.]

Hi. I was kind of in the mood to chat so I guess here I am.

[He shrugs but he's not about to be anything but honest. Because he really can't be anything but honest anyway.]

One of my big passions in life is art. I've been drawing a lot here and I even got to help design one of the businesses. It's been pretty great but I've been wondering something...

Would people like seeing someone selling art? Offering commissions? Maybe even helping to design homes or businesses? I think it could be a lot of fun. But also I was just curious to see what kind of art people were the most interested in seeing.

Or if there's other artists out there! We should hang out if there are!

[He gives a wave.]

I'm Riley for anyone who hasn't met me yet. It's nice to meet you!

[Riley gasps and turns in his arms.]

Really? You'll help me carry them?

I am your boyfriend. {He tuts and kisses Riley's nose.} Besides, I love books too.

[The way his face lights up more than says what he thinks of the offer. Throwing his arms around his neck basically puts himself in Xie's lap but he doesn't care.]

{He has no problem cuddling a cute Fae! It's good to see his A-Ley happy. He nuzzles their lips together and hugs Riley tightly.}

You can depend on me, love. Just promise I can read any book you are finished with.

Yes! Of course! You can always ready any of my books.

[He gives him a quick kiss then officially tucks himself onto his lap as he expands his decision making process.]

I'll try to be quick so we can head out.

Don't rush. I like holding you. {Xie murmurs, hugging Riley to him while he makes his decisions.} I could hold you all day long.

The good news is that you're one of the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in. [He smiles at him then hums in thought as he picks between the many stacks around them.]

{Chuckling, he rests his cheek against Riley's shoulder and watches the process.}

It must be all of my fur.

Well I thought you were comfortable even before that. You're just a very comfortable person!

[thescorpionking]

I think we just fit together well. {He rubs over Riley's sides and kisses his shoulder.}

Like we were meant to be, right? That's what it feels like to me when you hold me.

Exactly. {Xie closes his eyes and breathes in Riley's scent.} You feel like a good dream.

You're my good dream too. Don't you forget that. [He smiles at him and then studies his piles again. Is this good now? Hmmmmm...]

I want to be your good reality too. {Xie peeks at the books, reading the titles and random pages.}

I think I've settled on my choices. This pile here will go today and the others I can come back for.

[It's a big pile but between them he knows they can manage it.]

Wanna help me take these to the front to buy them? Then we can find somewhere to make some dreams come true.

Good choices. {Xie lifts up a sizable stack and rests his chin on the top book.} I'm ready when you are.

{To buy the books and to make dreams come true.}

Wow...you're so strong.

[He marvels for a second then quickly leads the way up front so that way he can pay for the books. Which he does and takes one of the bags of books and lets Xie get the other.]

I wonder if there's like a hot spring or an inn or something we can visit near here... Did you see anything on your way to the bookshop?

I've been working on it.

{A martial artist depends wholly on their body. He may not look it, but Xie is mostly muscle. When the time comes, he takes the bigger bag and grins.}

Now that you mention it, there is a hot spring not far from here.

Really? Lead the way! I wanna go there with you!

[So much of their time is spent around water that it's their thing now. He loves the idea of continuing that.]

{The water has become a symbol of relaxation for him - and he associates Riley with it. Xie grabs onto his lover's hand and leads the way. A few streets down from the bookshop, there is a large hot spring connected to an inn. He takes them inside and pays for the night. Why not?}

This one is large enough for you to swim in, A-Ley.

Wooooow. Really?

[He's already looking around at everything as they head to their room. It's so pretty...]

Is it one where everyone uses the same one? Or does each room have its own?

Hot springs are common around here thanks to the volcanic activity. Each room has a portion enclosed just for them.

{So they will be nice and alone. Riley can look out the window and see their pool.}

[Setting his books down he immediately goes to their window and looks out at them. It really is big enough to swim in and it's entirely theirs.]

That's really all ours for the night?

[Laughing, he comes back over so he can throw his arms around Xie to kiss him.]

It's the perfect date!

Yes. {Xie murmurs, pleased, his tail waving from side to side. He catches Riley, flushing under the kiss.} I researched the best hot springs in the area awhile ago. I wanted something special for you and us.

You did this for us? [His eyes widen and then a brilliant smile shines over his face as he gives him another kiss.] You're amazing. Let's enjoy it to the fullest.
