Gaura and I have decided to get married this spring. We haven't set an exact date, yet, but we will soon. I'm so happy, I simply have to share our good news!

Would he be comfortable cooking in our kitchen? I'm sure Gaura and I will both want the reception to be held in our home.

Yep. And if Gaura gives him recipes then he'll be able to make what you guys want too. He's good at following recipes he finds.

You let me worry about that. But honestly if I ask he'll be alright with it.

[And if he's not he knows how to make him alright with it. And since Pete doesn't mind exchanging sexual favors to get what he wants sometimes...]

I... don't actually know. I didn't really have any before I found myself here. I was always too busy with my research to bother with social niceties.

Well, here's your first lesson then. Friends are going to be there for you always. Good or bad. So right now it's the best of your life and I'm going to make sure it's everything you want so it's a magical experience.

(( That's very kind! It's the sort of behavior he imagined good friends would exhibit from all the reading he's done. Maybe if he spent less time reading and studying, he'd actually meet people he could consider as something other than colleagues. But he's getting that here in Nippon. It's nice! ))
