Hi, I’m Johnny Joestar.

Now that introductions are out of the way, I’ve been thinking this for a while, but what year is it exactly?

Aside from the question that was nagging at me, I would like to offer my services in what I do best and that’s horse riding. If anyone is interested I could instruct you in riding or even racing on a horse. If we can use some domesticated horses that would be good, but I could also tame wild horses for this purpose.

I also offer lessons in horse taming as well.

I’ve only met one man with that name, although he did mention having siblings.

As for my relation, I’m the son of George Joestar if that means anything. I had a brother, but it’s only my father and I left.

But this is the first time anyone has mentioned a Zeppeli outside of Jonathan. Mentioned siblings and he-

Feels something like hope brimming in his chest. Maybe it's one of his brothers-his brother's son meeting another Joestar far down the family tree.]

I don't recognize George, but I'm familiar with others in your family. I've met many in my time.

Which Zeppeli do you know? Who were his parents?

Considering other comments I’ve been getting about different points in time I guess I should clarify.

I was born in 1872 to George and Anne Joestar, I had an older brother named Nicholas who we lost while I was younger and we were staying in England.

I met Gyro Zeppeli, whose actual name was Julius Caesar Zeppeli, in a cross-country horse race in America in 1890. He had come from Naples to win the grand prize in order to save a boy he was assigned to execute. His father is Gregorio Zeppeli, their family were made up of executioners and doctors because of an ability. He mentioned having four younger brothers, but never really mentioned their names.

[The information is summarized easily by this guy, but Caesar is thrown by every single word. Unfamiliar names, unfamiliar family-his namesake taken by another in the past during a time when he knows his Grandfather would have been alive. He would've known about a Gyro Zeppeli in America. Would've known about a Gregorio Zeppeli that would've been his uncle? Great Grandfather? He can't parse together the timeline with the minimal information before him.

But it's too uncommon to be a lie-too close to home to be a coincidence.

My family never spoke of him despite our shared namesake. I'm Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli-son of Mario and grandson to Will. I have four siblings of my own.

[The parallels are-

Bizarre. The potential for multiple realities with multiple Zeppelis and Joestars-

It's irritating. They can't be from the same Earth. No way. But it's still a tease to get a glimpse of a family he never knew existed and it's not even his, but-

They're still family.]

Interesting that our families fates are intertwined no matter what world we're born in.

There was a man back at home that had an ability to access alternate worlds that were similar, but a little different. That and someone else here talking about that seems like a thing.

I can’t say I fully understand, but I’ve seen people pulled through these alternate worlds firsthand so I’m not gonna knock it.

From the sounds of it though, I believe you’re right that we seem intertwined in some way. Although in my case it was probably my persistence brought on by a chance encounter.

Gyro gave me hope when I had none, and had taught me so much. He may have been the only real friend I had ever had, and if that’s the kind of trait you have in common I could see why our fates come together so often.

[There's a sense of familial pride towards this rando he doesn't know-another loyal, noble man honoring their lineage, even in another world.]

I can't speak for the Joestar I knew, though I doubt a kind word about me would pass through his lips willingly. He's a fool through and through.

[There's a fondness in his voice that doesn't match the bite in his words.]

Gyro sounds like a good man. You're lucky to have him.

I was very fortunate to have him.

[ There was that very obvious hesitation on his side, a long pause before his voice got a little quieter. ]

... I was just getting ready to return him and his horse back to his family personally. I know it’s what he would have wanted.

The other unfortunate trend of Zeppelis is to perish young and it sounds like Gyro followed the same path, if the guy's hesitation and implication mean what he thinks.]

What happened to him?

It's going to sound weird, but it was the President.

[ That's a great way to lead this Johnny, but there was an audible sigh. ]

During the race something more important to him came up, and that was the saint corpse. Everyone wanted it, myself included, but he wanted to protect it.

[Those are a whole lot of words that mean nothing with the context Caesar has-the president of what? The saint corpse-an actual body? He can only compare it to the red stone of Aja and even that seems like a stretch.]

If he died protecting something important to him and his lineage, then it was a sacrifice worth making.

And they aren't actually raptors they just kinda walk like them

Do you mean here or where we're from? It was 2019 where I'm from, but here... well, the fashion looks like the Taisho era to me, which spanned the years 1912-1926. But then, there are a lot of things that aren't like the Taisho era I learned about, so it isn't necessarily the same.

That’s pretty helpful, it seems like you come from a time much further into the future than I would imagine.

It was just 1891 for me. I hadn’t traveled to Japan—-that’s what Nippon means right? I’ve heard other riders talk about it in passing. So I wasn’t sure if this is what it really was like back in my time.

But, well... I don't know what your world is like, but the technology they have here isn't like what I'd expect from that time period, but it's also... not really quite like any sort of technology from my world? So it's hard to fully line it up with my timeline.

I mean, in Quantum Mechanics it's theorized there's an infinite number of alternate universes, so actually, following that logic, it's impressive it's even as similar and familiar as it is.

I unfortunately have dealt with something similar back at home. Instead of going to an alternate universe I was faced with alternate versions of some troublesome people.

I’ve been riding since I was very young, my father bred horses and I used to spend a lot of time watching my brother ride.

I got good enough to win the Kentucky Derby at the age of sixteen.

So I can promise to make sure you don’t fall when we ride together.
