It's no problem. We've gotta help each other out right? I was on my own for awhile so I know how nice it can feel to have someone to have your back when you find them.

Same here believe it or not. I didn't live with my family back home. it was...complicated. Yes. we do need to help each other out the best we can.

I haven't lived with mine for awhile because I was forced not to in order to protect them.

[He looks sad for a moment before he forces a smile back on his face. It's so easy for him to get sad about things right now and it doesn't feel good. Recent heartbreak will do that.]

[ He can tell it's hard on Riley, he can also tell when a smile is forced. He won't pry but he does know Riley said things had been hard on him lately. It seems nearly criminal that someone that even over video seems so full of life and joy should be sad at all. Everyone has feelings though. Even Kim.]

Sometimes people who don't deserve it get the shit end of lifes stick.

[He lets out a laugh he doesn't really feel.]

Hey, just so you know... I know what it's like to try and make yourself feel things you don't. I know that makes things worse sometimes. So, you don't have to do that for my sake, ever. It's okay to not be okay with me.

[ He can tell that laugh was not genuine, he didn't know what happened just yet. But he's a song writer, pain is real and it's a strong emotion.]

[He looks surprised even though he knows he's an open book. Everyone has been able to read him his entire life. Looking down, he lets the smile fade and nods.]

I get sad a lot right now. Thank you though. It means a lot to me.

[He rubs at an eye to make sure it's not a jerk and going to cry on him.]

Okay. Mochi and room comforts. I'll get those for you and meet up with you after you've picked your room.

[ Kim is just extra sensitive to all of that, it's part of what makes him such a good artist. He gives him a smile]

[This time the little smile he puts on is real and he gives a nod.]

[ He'd chosen his room, he wasn't too sure about the whole hotel life just yet but he'd chosen a room big enough to not feel cramped and a view of the new home. as promised he reaches out to Riley.]

Hey, I am here. I am in room 210.

Oh. Will and I are right under there, I think. Be right there.

[With a couple bags of stuff as well as a couple blankets, he heads upstairs and knocks on the door. He'd wave but, you know, his hands are very full.]

Hi. I have everything. I brought extra blankets because all of you get so cold since you're from warmer climates. Even Will gets super cold.

[ He gets the door then gets his narrow behind out of the way.]

[ he was right, Kim was already feeling a bit frosty. He is also learning he dislikes cold weather.]

Yeah, it's pretty cold here. Thank you for thinking of that and for everything.

[Looking around, he spots a table and puts everything there then reaches into one of the bags to fish out the mochi candies. Taking one out, he offers it to Kim.]

Here. Try this. It won't help with the keeping you warm but it should taste good.

[ There was a dry little chuckle from him as he takes the offered candy and chances a nibble on the side. the texture was different yet familiar at the same time.]

You're right, they don't keep me warm at all. But they are pretty good.

[ Spoken as he bit into the little candy fully.]

[He takes one for himself then sits down on the bed to cross his legs. It's definitely easy to notice that Riley forgot to put a jacket on before coming up here so he's just in a sweater vest and pants. Does he look cold though? Nope.]

[ Kim moved over to pick up one of the blankets and wrapping it around his shoulders before taking a seat on the other side of the bed. ]

A bit, Vegas explained quite a bit about the environment and some of the demons? Goblins? Eh, I can't remember what he called them.

As for you, trust is a big key with me, I am willing to listen to anything you trust me enough to tell me.

The ones with more intelligence are the yokai. The ones that lack it and are more like little creatures or spirits are ayakashi. Those are the ones likely to curse you. One hit me a few weeks ago and it was awful.

[He shudders at the thought of it then makes sure to put the back of candies between them so that way Kim can easily get to them. Then he kicks off his shoes so he won't make a mess.]

Um...well I'm Fae. Has someone mentioned that part yet? Will and I both are.

[ He did pick up another candy once the pack was with in reach. they were interesting little candies and he wondered why he hadn't tried these sooner. He tilted his head a bit]

You're not cold? I haven't had enough time to get the heat going well in here yet.

Cold?

[He looks down at himself then his eyes widen when he realizes he forgot a jacket. Again.]

Oh. I don't get cold actually. I can't. Will seems to think it's to do with me being tied to water as my element for magic.

That is a convenient bonus to have.
[ Very curious, very curious indeed]

What about heat?

Um...I've never seemed to have a problem with heat. Which is probably good because Will needs it.

[He watches him for a moment.]

He calls me his little space heater so if you want to cuddle to warm up I'm okay with that.

[He's going to make that point clear!]

[ Spoken as another candy is shoved whole into his mouth. There was already some kind of connection between he and Riley, he'd be blind not to see that, but he wasn't so sure about the whole cuddling thing yet as tempting as it was to just cuddle the snot out of the guy because he is warm.]

[He doesn't push further because he's not about to force Kim into something. Riley's not that kind of person. So instead he hums softly as he thinks of what else to share.]

Where I come from I'm actually on the run. I'm something called a Changeling which means I was raised by humans. When I was a baby the Fae decided they didn't want an ill child so they gave me up. Well in the care of my parents I got better. Eighteen years later the Fae figured out I was alive and now they're trying everything possible to force me to join one of their Courts.
