[Someone is way too cheerful for this early-morning message, even as Kokoro seems to be tying up her hair and shoving some pins into the bun to keep it out of her way. She waves, as that only takes a couple seconds.]

Good morning! So, I have great news for me and maybe... not-great news? for everyone else. I managed to buy a volleyball and while it's a little bit lighter than I'm used to, I would like to practice my spikes. Unfortunately, I don't have a setter, and I'd really like someone to hit the ball back.

Running every morning is not exactly a full-body workout, and also I miss it.

[Kokoro clasps her hands together and gives the camera and extremely convincing sad puppy expression.]

Yeah! I was on a team, but had to stop because of exams taking priority, but I stayed apart of it for as long as possible!

[Kokoro brightens up immediately. If there's one way to her heart, it's definitely hitting balls at high speed.]

Would you be OK with setting, or do you prefer to hit the ball back. I'm fine with either, but I have a pretty strong spike, so I want to make sure you'll be OK with it.

It's a shame you had to stop, but at least it was for a good reason.

[ She paused to think about it, considering what her options could be before nodding. ]

A strong spike, you say? How strong are we talkin'? I mean, I can do either but it'd be nice to know what to expect.

Yeah, but then I came here in the middle of my freaking exams. So we'll see if I remember enough to pass them, [she laughs.]

My spike is about 64 kilometers per hour. It might be a little slower since I haven't played in a couple months, though. Which is embarrassing.

Oh dear. I'm sure you'll be fine once you go back, so I wouldn't sweat it.

[ A couple of blinks. Did she hear that right? ]

So... in other words that sort of spike could really do some damage or kill someone. [ She laughed softly. ] I may be a bit durable but a regular human wouldn't be able to handle that, so I may just opt for setting for now?

You'd be surprised, but yeah. It's caused some bruises. Volleyball players are unexpectedly tough, but my spike is closer to a male range than a female's range!

[Despite the cute, soft look she cultivates, she is pretty fired up about her favorite sport.]

It's OK, though; I've been bruised all over so often it doesn't even really bother me at this point. I'll be happy to have you as a setter!

Just bruises? Hmm. If that's really the worst of it then I may possibly consider hitting them back for you but i'm not quite as good as a professional, though bruises don't bug me at all.

[ It's been some time since she dabbled in that sort of thing, so it's possibly worth a shot. She had hella strong legs and decent reflexes so that should help some. ]

Wonderful! As I said, I can do both but starting with just setting would be good, then work our way into me hittin' em back! Sound good?

I've gotten some really dark ones on my thighs and stomach before, but they heal up pretty quickly.

That's... actually a really good question. Maybe over the weekend? I work at a kimono shop during the day, and it seems unreasonable to ask people to do it at night. It's not like we have a handy gymnasium.
