(( The face on the screen is mostly impassive. But the eyes are a mix of confusion, irritation, and some small bit of amusement. He sat through the orientation, listened to everything that was said, and still has to ask... ))

Is this some kind of joke? This is all pretty elaborate, I have to give you credit for that. But, uh, can we stop playing now?

(( Other than to be home. Which probably isn't happening any time soon from what he's gathering. ))

Unless you're a guy who can live off the land like I can? I don't believe that for a second. You're gonna need shelter, clothes, and food. You picked a place yet?

Oh, I'm still deciding on that. I think, maybe, Yoshiwara?

How about you pick a place then let me know where it is. I'll gather some stuff you need to settle in.

(( Simon, stop. This guy's trying to help you, don't be ungrateful. ))

Okay. Okay, I can do that.

[He grins a bit.]

I'll see you in a few then. Just me know where to go and I'll be there.

(( It's not too long before he's messaging this kind stranger again. Just long enough to get the train from MRU to the Yoshiwara area. While a little archaic, the place seemed more like Simon's vibe. Once he picked a place, he reached out to let Silvio know the exact place he was staying. ))

[It takes a few more minutes for Silvio to remember how to do the text to voice thing Will taught him. When he's got it though, he smiles at what he hears. Grabbing the bag of supplies he's gathered, he heads into the city to where Simon indicated. There he makes his way through until he's knocking at what he feels must be the place.]

(( It it the right place, indeed! A vague smile rests on Simon's lips as he sees the man he recognizes from their previous video conversation. It fades when he realizes he hasn't even asked the stranger's name yet. That doesn't stop him from stepping away from the door to invite him in. ))

Come on in. I'm sorry, I don't think I asked your name yet. I'm Simon.

Right, sorry about that. I'm Silvio. It's nice to meet you, Simon.

[Human. That's what he's getting from him. Nothing wrong with that though. It'll make it easier for him to recognize him in the future now that he has his scent.]

Where do you want me to set this?

[The big bag on his shoulder.]

(( The room itself wasn't very big. It had a private toilet, but the rest was all communal, which is where they were currently standing. So he looked at the bag -- it's so much! -- and then back over his shoulder. ))

Come on, I'll show you. This way.

(( Through the shared living space of the dorm toward the little room he'd been assigned to. It wasn't much: a futon, a low table, a chest for clothes, a window for some natural light. ))

Anywhere here is fine. Though... this is really too much.

It mostly seems like it because the food takes up a lot of room.

[Sniffing around the area, he makes sure that this is going to be safe for Simon and listens to where things are located. There's a reason most don't realize he's blind. He makes up for it easily with his other senses.]

I got you some clothes to start with and food so you can build up some money to be able to afford things here.

(( Ah, that made sense. Simon looked at the bag, still a little surprised by Silvio's generosity. Once he sets it down, Simon will begin to unpack it, finding a place for everything the man was kind enough to bring for him. ))

Ah, I don't know how soon I'll be able to repay you, but I will. You have my word.

[The food is mostly canned or dried, something that will keep easily and make it easy for anyone to cook. But there is a container in there with some stew in it. He smiles when he smells it.]

That's not warm anymore but it reheats easily. I figured you'd like a warm meal to start off with so I grabbed some of my extra food for you.

[The clothes aren't anything necessarily fashion forward but they're warm. Important for the cold season.]

(( Simon's not about to picky when he's receiving someone's charity. Though, he can smell the stew when he pulls the container from the bag and it makes his stomach rumble audibly. He paused in what he was doing to clasp his hands over his stomach and looked off, more than a little embarrassed. ))

Thank you. I really appreciate it.

[Silvio bows his head as he laughs softly.]

Maybe you should heat it up now then. You sound hungry.

(( Simon smiled sheepishly, unaware that silvio couldn't see it. ))

It's been a long day already. Would you like some?

Is there a kitchen nearby? I can get it warmed up for us.

It's just down the hall. To the left.

Let's go then. Bring the stew.

[He grins and waves for him to come with him, leading the way and using his nose to find the kitchen. Though finding a pot? That's trickier. He does seem to open several cabinets to feel around rather than just look.]

Okay.

(( Simon grabs the container of stew and follows behind Silvio. It's not a far walk, just a straight shot down the hallway and then a left leads them there. He takes note of the curious behavior and steps in to intervene. ))

Over here.

(( It's a cabinet Silvio hasn't opened yet. Simon fishes around for a pot among the items there and sets it on the stove. He tried to familiarize himself with where things were when he first arrived a little bit ago. It was good to know where things were in the place you're going to be living, after all.

He grabs a spoon and starts scraping the contents of Silvio's container into the pot. It smells even better to Simon once it begins to warm. ))

Ah. Thanks.

[Coming over, he smiles a bit.]

Yeah. I did. Hope you don't mind rabbit.

[Silvio takes over to stir it, sniffing every so often so that way he can make sure it smells right. He knows it smells a certain way when it's just hot enough.]

I'm not a master chef or anything but I'm pretty good at putting something together from things I find in the forest.

You were serious about living off the land, huh?

(( There's a faint hint of a smile on his lips. Not that he thought Silvio had been lying, but people can be prone to exaggeration. Or simply using certain turns of phrase without meaning them literally. ))

[He laughs a bit and nods.]

The city is too loud for me to stay in all the time. Most of the time I'm by myself out in the woods. There I'm able to sleep. Right now I just have a camp there but it's not bad.

(( Simon hesitates a beat before he asked the question that comment brings to mind. Silvio was feeling around the cupboards, his hearing seems to be keener than the average guy's... ))

Is there something the matter with your eyes?
