[It was only a matter of time, he supposed, before one of the strange effects of this place happened to him. That doesn't mean he's pleased about it, however. Slightly paniced and quite annoyed, bordering on angry, would be a more accurate way to describe his current mental state.

He is currently glaring quite menacingly at his own reflection at the moment. At the two elk horns that has started to grow from his head, if you wanted to be precise about it.]

If anyone knows how to make these go away I would be very grateful for the assistance.

[His voice is level, almost emotionless, but there is an undercurrent af anger to be heard for those who knows him well enough. One of his ears twitch in annoyance and he notices that though it is still pointed it is now covered in a soft velvety fur now.]

It would seem so... [He glances at the feathers in his brothers hair but says nothing.] I don't like this at all.

I suppose falling asleep under that tree was our undoing.

Most likely. Though, even knowing I would end up like this I don't think I would have acted much differently.

I think we both needed that time badly. [ He agrees ] Does yours... itch?

[ Bro he thinks he's moulting ]

We did. Or well, I know I did at least. [Learning that Elrond had left had not put him in a great emotional state.] You have no idea, I feel like it will drive me mad but I don't think anyone will appreciate it if I scratch myself until I bleed.

[His horns haven't shed their velvet yet and it itches like crazy.]

I thought you did, I just didn't want to assume. [Too be dignified or to aleviate some of this awful itching? Such a hard decision to make.] Would you? It's taking all I have to keep myself from scraping them against the wall or a tree or something.

[He lowers himself a bit so that Maglor doesn't have to stretch to reach them.]

[ A smile for his brother and he obligingly trots close enough to reach up and scratch ]

Come sit down then, you tall tree. [ He says fondly ]

You're going to be massive if you shift shape all the way - I'm no Tyelko, but these... you'd be an elk of some sort, I think. And yes please. My hair's alright, but it's also going down my neck....

[He let's out a big sigh of relief when Maglor's scratches relieves some of that terrible itching.

He rolls his eyes but sits down obligingly.] If there was one thing I didn't need it was something with wich to add to my height. [These antlers were impractical in more ways than one, really.]

Let's hope I do not. Can you imagine the kind of damage I'd do to the house if I wouke up as a giant elk one of these days? And let's be thankful that they are elkhorns instead of moosehorns. That would truly be a disaster waiting to happen.

[He gives his brother a sympathetic look.] I'll be sure to help you groom them later then.

And I am very grateful you did not wake up as a giant moose inside the house. Or a giant elk, or a giant anything, frankly. There is at least one person with a dragon shape here, you know. Although he's a very different dragon to the type we're used to - more longworm than drake. I found him hiding in the lake, he was that big.

Thank you. Daeron thinks I might be a crow or a magpie. [ He sighs ] He thinks it's very funny.

Things can always be worse. [When they weren't already completely out of hand to begin with.]

Do you think I'd still be missing a limb in such a form? How much worse do you think a three legged elk can cause when it's trying to move about? [...What? A dragon?] Perhaps I should count myself lucky then... I'm not sure what I'd do if I started to resemble one of those disgusting creatures. Strange, but at least that is marginaly better than the dragons I was thinking about.

Hmm? I would have thought you'd be more suited as a some sort of songbird. [Though he could see his brother as a magpie if he really thought about it.] At least someone is amused by this then?

Unfortunately... they might not.

[Diluc has been lucky - though he does occasionally exhibit some kizuna transformation traits they have always been temporary and only appear when certain people are around.

He does feel for those who end up stuck with these features... especially the more inconvenient ones.]

I'm sure you've realised that it's a manifestation of kizuna. Possibly due to a bond with someone, as some of my own features are when they deign to appear.

.........That is an interesting thought... Maybe? You're right, it would be difficult to maneouver like that. Hopefully we never have to find out!

[ He hums acknowledged ] He says he's a dragon at home in his own world, as well - so the shift was a forced one, but a true form, if you like. But his dragons are ... well, they are perhaps, what ours should have been, before Morgoth got his hands on them.

I do prefer it when he looks human, however.

Can you imagine? A giant elk missing a hoof rampaging around the house in a panic? I'd probably end up bringing the whole thing down upon our heads in the end.

It is hard to imagine dragons so very different from the ones we are used to. Ones that are not creatures of malice. I always did wonder what creatures he used to create those things...

I can imagine. I would find it hard to push down my instincts when faced with something like that, even if he meant no harm to me.

[And for Maglor, who lost his lands to dragonfire, it must be even more so.]

What? It's true. [A Maglor with a crow's voice would just be wrong...] It is the very least we can do for him, I suppose.

I never saw anything in Angband that I'd believe could be their source... [Elros should never have been introduced to the concepts of dragons. The enthusiasm he showed at the chance to fight one almost made his hair turn grey from stress.]

He'd better have been... [He wasn't going to let anyone be unkind to his brother. A little teasing was fine but there were lines he wasn't willing to let people cross when it came to his brothers.]

Likely not. If he found them quick enough that no one else had even heard about something similar before they were likely very new when he got his hands on them. [What a sad thought that was.]

I mean, I know they are. [ fourth cousins three times removed, wasn't it ] But also, I wonder how much of that look is... deliberate, as it were. Elrond looks much more like Luthien these days than I remember him looking as a child...
