[Some people will recognize this odd man with a hole in his head. But today, well, maybe it's just the video quality, but he's got a different energy about him? It's hard to pin down why. Maybe he's standing a little straighter.]
Um... I've been lucky to get to know a lot of you better over the past month. People have been very kind to me, and I'm grateful. But... I've remembered some things. And I know now that it's not fair of me to keep this to myself. Before I came here, I drilled holes in people's heads. Two of them survived but six of them died. I don't plan on drilling anyone else unless they want me to, but if you don't want to be around me because of this, I understand.
[Closing his eyes a moment.]
On a different note, I want everyone to know that I love Grell Sutcliff and one day soon I'm going to marry her! That's all.
[He's really gonna follow up that first thing with this?]

[ Yes, Ragetti just assumes he's invited. In the wise words of his other captain: "I love weddings! Drinks all around!" ]
Why'd ye drill holes in people's heads?
no subject
Haha, neither have I! We'll both need fancier clothes for it, I think. You should tell me about that other one sometime though... it sounds like a good story!
[Fish people?? Wild!! Anyway, he hesitates, but he's trying to own what he did!! So he really has to answer any and all questions about it.]
I wanted to give other people the same clarity that my hole gave me.
no subject
Yeah, it was! Well, me an' Pintel was below decks for most of it, we only really saw the kiss part at the end, but... it was a nice kiss, anyway.
[ Does it occur to him that maybe Fukuda's talking about the larger story? Like how the maelstrom and the fish-people came into it in the first place? No? Okay then. ]
What kinder clarity we talkin'? Did it make ye smarter?
[ No Ragetti don't ask Fukuda for a smart-making head hole. Don't do it. Do not. ]
no subject
Mm, not exactly? More like I'm able to think about what I want to think about when I couldn't always before.
no subject
[ Speaking as a man who lives his life by the code of "no thoughts, head empty". ]
Sounds to me like you was just followin' the Golden Rule, though. Do unto others an' all - that's Scripture, that is. I ain't never had such a noble reason for killin' people.
[ He's kind of jealous. ]
no subject
Haha, well, they didn't really get a choice... So it's still bad regardless, I think?
[Based on what he's been told.]
no subject
Well, ye ain't doin' it again, so it don't matter, right? Long as ye atone for yer sins an' try to do better, with regards ter not drillin' holes in people's heads no more, it don't make me no difference. Ye ever kill anyone else, then, other'n those six people?
[ Normal Friend Type Conversation right here ]
no subject
Sort of? In the place I was before here, with Grell. But we were technically already dead and people revived after 15 minutes.
[You know. Normal stuff.]
no subject
[ He's intrigued now. ]
I been to an afterlife before, but I never tried killin' anyone while we was there. Makes sense it wouldn't take, though. Can't be deader than dead, can ye?
no subject
[Surely this doesn't sound like the ravings of a madman.]
no subject
Can ye... explain all that again? Slow-like?
[ What's a space station? What's a computer? What's a Furby??? ]
no subject
Ah. We were in a building that was way up in the sky off the planet?
[Space station.]
Then we died and went somewhere else, it wasn't nice at first but later it changed as we had more things to do.
[Computer is a thing to do.]
After we came back to life we had to fight a monster that looked like an old children's toy a little bit.
[Furby.]
Does that help?
no subject
[ His eye sparkles at the thought. This opens up a whole new dimension for piracy! :O ]
S'pose there really is all kinds o' afterlives out there. ...Was there crabs?
[ He always has to ask about the crabs. ]
And what'd ye wish for?
no subject
[Who's to say!!]
Grell already granted the wish I had at the start so I wanted to use my wish to help everyone... So we had these communicators sort of like the ones we have here, but they could only send text messages, and I used my wish so they could do sound and video as well! So we could better keep in touch with our friends in other worlds.
no subject
[ He might be disappointed about the lack of crabs, or he might be relieved. But either way, he likes beaches. ]
Ye mean for people like me what can't read? Oh, that's a real smart wish!
[ He would've just wished for... well, a glass eye, probably, but he already tried that at the shrine here, and it went poof a minute later. So much for that. ]
Can ye still talk to them? People in other worlds? Don't s'pose any of them happen to live on Earth in the year of our Lord seventeen twenty-nine...?
[ Heck, he'll take 1728 too. He's not picky. ]
no subject
No... The communicator I had is different than the one I have here.
[He misses them already even though this is the first day he can remember them.]
But I don't think anyone was from Earth that far back? Grell is from the 19th century though.
no subject
19th century... that's about an 'undred years after me, yeah? They still got pirates? She ever hear of a bloke called Cap'n Jack Sparrow?
[ Ragetti feels like if any of them could pull off living for another hundred years, it's ol' Jack. ]

[ Ragetti puts a hand to his chest for emphasis, forgetting for the moment that Fukuda already knows this fact about him. ]
Think ye could introduce us sometime? Before the wedding, I mean. Be nice to get to know her, bein' as she sounds real great, the way ye talk about her.
no subject
[She won't be nice about it though, probably.]
no subject
[ She just better not be too mean :c he's a sensitive soul ]
Let's meet up sometime, yeah? Take a day, do some explorin' 'round the city or summat. ...Promise I won't call her a wench.
[ Out loud. ]
no subject
[Said placidly as if that's totally normal.]
no subject
[ Is it painful? It sounds painful. ]
no subject
[Sounds painful is right!!!]
no subject
I'll be on me best behavior!! A right gentleman, I swear on the Code!
[ And now he has to research how to be a gentleman. Oh boy. ]
