I see. There is some technology here that is more advanced than where I came from. But most seems equivalent.

A place called England.

What is it like?

[inthewood]

For a small nation, it varies a great deal from place to place. We have bustling cities connected by steam engines, great ports for trade and travel, and rolling countryside where people are still very superstitious. Some might call them backward, but I disagree. I think they just adhere to older ways.

[konohamaru]

[ Some of that, he doesn't understand, well only one thing really. Steam engines? He dismisses it as unimportant. ]

You must have great armies then.

What is it that you do there?

[inthewood]

I am a folklorist. I study the stories of the past to discover the truth of them. Tell me, sir, where are you from?

[konohamaru]

Is that actually useful?

Isn't knowledge always useful?

[konohamaru]

It varies.

Why do you want to know? What use does information about me have to you?

I'm simply curious.

(( He's completely genuine. Silver's never had the interest to do anything remotely like fighting (much to his mother's chagrin). So he has a healthy respect for people and creatures who can and do. ))

[ Well, that does manage to stroke Esen's ego which could use a little soothing. ]

I can only imagine the sort of man he must be.

(( Henry smiles, recognizing that kind of fondness. ))

But you have someone here. (( Silver pauses, looking off-screen a little wistfully. )) There is a man I am very fond of back home... I wish he could be here. I think he would enjoy it very much.

[konohamaru]

[ Esen gives a slight incline of his head in agreement. ]

Is he very fond of you?

[inthewood]

I like to think so. We do share a bed, at least.
