There are so many new names and faces on the network lately. I've been here a long time so if anyone needs help with anything, feel free to ask me.

Hi! I'm Wei Wuxian. Tell me something interesting about yourself. I'll start: I was dead for thirteen years before I came back to life and then ended up here.

I think it's a unique case for me, too.

So~ these Halls you speak of, is that your afterlife?

[ He waggles his hand in the multiversal sign for 'sort of' ]

I suppose you could say that. But death for my people is not... quite the same as for Men. The Halls are... a place for reflection, and healing, and rest.

[ Imprisonment, sometimes, if you're Actual Satan. Or Maglor's dad. ]

But they are meant to be a waypoint, only. A bit longer a rest for us, but they say that Men pass through them too, if only briefly. [ Hence Beren & Luthien ]

(( Color him completely fascinated! Dark eyes are bright with curiosity and an eager smile plays at the corners of his mouth. ))

A waypoint to where?

Well, for us, it's elvenhome - or more specifically, Aman the Blessed, where the Powers of the World dwell and where my uncle rules still in fair Tirion, and my mother, hopefully, lives still in the Stonemasons guild.

[ He smiles to see the curiosity ]

But for Men, who knows? You go out of the world, and where you go from the Halls who can say? My cousins who dealt often with Men say that even the wise amongst you have but guesses, but there are those who say that you, who came from Eru's thought, go back to Him who is outside of the very Song, and will return to recreate the world anew when the Song is done.

[diabolique]

(( Wei Wuxian nods slowly. ))

Out of the world sounds right. That's what I think happened to me.

[bythewaves]

[ Maglor hums, very curious ]

And then you returned? How marvelous! Do you remember what happened? Although... I suppose it might be very different, between worlds...

It was like the pull of the Earth on my body, except it was my spirit being pulled.

[bythewaves]

How strange and marvelous! Perhaps it was simply not yet your time.

Perhaps not. I was a little distressed about it, at first. But now I'm glad I've had a second chance.

[bythewaves]

I imagine it must have been somewhat disorienting, yes. [ Maglor agrees dryly ]

Especially since I am fairly sure you are only the second Man I have ever known to return as it is not supposed to be your natural state.

[ Unless he counts the Ringwraiths? Should he count them if they didn't die at all? Hm ]

At the least, a second chance is, I imagine, a very welcome gift, and I am glad that you have that chance.

(( Wei Wuxian nods several times. Disorienting is definitely a good word to describe the whole situation at its start. But then he smiles, warm and fond. ))
