...for starters, does anyone actually know what the hell is happening? And why is there a version of my mate here that isn't my mate but feels like he is? Are we all just copies?

[ he pauses and looks around him for a few seconds, wetting his lips as he thinks about everything-- ]

Do you only collect humans?

[daeshim blinks once, twice. they've just met but bishop has already touched upon something that he's never really thought about before. and from the way his brow wrinkles, it's something that concerns him.]

[he can't lie, but it's not a lie, because baein can no longer be called a human here. but. his kind do have a dark sort of fascination with humans. and that's the part that worries him.]

Bishop tips his head curiously and seems to be thinking about pushing the subject or not. On one hand he wants to know more but on another he doesn’t want to pressure him if he’s…uncomfortable. ]

Is there something specific that makes you choose who you choose?

Each time was different. Bae was shiny, and Jasper belonged to Bae, and Lennon was kind when I was alone.

[and oddly enough, he feels like bishop does understand. are fae and wolves closer to being the same than humans and fae? it's possible.]

Shiny things attract the darkness like a shiny button attracts a crow. Shiny people must be protected.

Agreed. I’d never thought about it that way, to be honest, but that’s what Sawyer was for me. Something bright and good. Something I wanted to keep safe.

I’m giving it regardless. It seems every life he has had has been surrounded by terrible people. You were nice to him. That means something to me.
