[ he's been wandering around the place for a while before he finally checks out the device and sets it up for VIDEO but he's still walking because sitting still is not an option.

he glances at the screen before deciding to sit on a bench so he can focus. ]

Uh, so hey. I'm Bishop and I just got here about...mm...a day ago, and yeah - questions. I've got em.

...for starters, does anyone actually know what the hell is happening? And why is there a version of my mate here that isn't my mate but feels like he is? Are we all just copies?

[ he pauses and looks around him for a few seconds, wetting his lips as he thinks about everything-- ]

What are we supposed to be doing?

Is there somewhere you have in mind?

Mm.

[ he glances around, then back to the screen. ]

Meet me here and we can find somewhere together.

[ he sends the location. ]

Sawyer shows up a little while later. He's a little skittish about going out into the unfamiliar place still but he's meeting Bishop and they'll go somewhere together and that's...easier.

He smiles a little when he sees Bishop and his steps quicken as he moves to meet him.

"Hi."

Immediately upon sighting Sawyer, Bishop relaxes and he smiles. In this place, with new people and apparently having to start over, this one bright spot is even more precious.

Bishop reaches out a hand for the others and he looks him over, “Hey baby.”

Sawyer blushes when he’s called baby, looking at the others hand for a little too long as it’s held outside. he almost doesn’t take it. Then he gathers the nerve and presses his hand into the others larger one.

“Where did you want to go?” He asks, looking up at him.

The blush is not lost on Bishop and he smiles a little more before he finally closes his hand around the others, lacing their fingers. Being close makes him feel better, safer. Like he can breathe and know that Sawyer is safe.

“Somewhere that isn’t noisy,” he chuckles softly, “I kind of want waffles or something kind of sweet. I saw a cafe not too far from here earlier…” he looks over, “unless there’s some place you already know and like.”

Sawyer allows the other to lace their fingers again. He looks at their hands, how big Bishop's fingers and palm are compared to his own. The werewolf is huge in his mind even if really he's rather average height and all and Sawyer is just small.

Not noisy is good for Sawyer -- he wonders if Bishop knows that from the other Sawyer and that's why he's thinking about it.

He nods at the suggestion.

"No, that cafe sounds fine."

It’s partially a different-Sawyer thing but it’s also because Bishop likes quiet meals with Sawyer in general. He enjoys being able to focus on something so simple as a meal and intimate company.

“Okay,” he nods and gently tugs Sawyers hand to get them walking in the right direction, “did I interrupt anything?”

“No,” Sawyer says honestly and he stays close to Bishop as they walk. He’s still wary of Nippon and everyone in it. He hadn’t figured out what to do with himself at all and most of his time is spent in his assigned housing trying to figure things out.

He cooked, cleaned and did things to maintain but nothing else.

That would just be a process Sawyer would always have to go through, it seemed. But Bishop would always be supportive. If it took longer than intended, he had no problem being the support.

Gently dropping Sawyers hand, he wraps his arm around him instead and keeps him tucked in against him as they walk. It isn’t very far but he can tell Sawyer doesn’t like being…exposed.

“Starting over here is going to take time,” he says, “once I find a new job here, do you want to find a place with me?”

[bilocations]

Sawyer tenses at first when the other wraps an arm around him but he slowly relaxes again tucked in against the other like that... It's kind of nice. He swallows fingers rubbing at the side of his leg as he walks.

"Oh...Yeah. Sure."

Something was off about that, and Bishop reluctantly releases Sawyer. He doesn't move away from him but he doesn't hold onto him, "Sorry. I know I can be...a lot sometimes. We don't have to live together if you really don't want to."

Sawyer shakes his head.

"No, I think living with you might be good."

He frowns a little at the fact that the other had moved away. He kind of liked it even if it had startled him at first. He doesn't try to reinitiate it, though.
