[ Only the top of his perfectly styled bedhead is visible on the screen as he stares at nothing in particular, trying to take in everything around him.

He doesn't like that the ugly little phone he's holding is called a magi-tech.

Noctis isn't sure where to start, isn't 100% sure that the explanation he received upon his arrival wasn't the result of Ardyn continuing to fuck with him despite being on the cusp of reaching the Crystal. The man is, after all, capable of so much. He left his friends behind, overwhelmed by daemons, and stepped foot on the elevator... over and over and over again, Ardyn's voice ringing in his ears, taunting him. That's why he went through the door, that's why he's where he is now.

Admittedly, he didn't fully pay attention at his orientation. He's tired, and he's used to other people (see: Ignis) paying attention for him when it mattered, but he's still almost 75% sure that this is Ardyn's doing. Somehow.

He clears his throat, not bothering to adjust the camera. ]

I'm--

[ He pauses for a second, rethinks asking for more info on his current whereabouts. He's a little wary and he doesn't want to say too much, so he ends up sighing, scrapping whatever he was going to say, and mutters to himself instead. ]

Man, I could really go for some of Iggy's cooking right now. Or a soft bed.

[ Noctis is a little surprised by the amount of food being shown and offered to him. Usually there's some sort of catch - somebody wants them to run some sort of errand, a hunt needs to be taken care of, something of that nature. ]

Looks good. [ Big fan of bread and pastries ] You made all of that yourself?

Stress baking, it's a habit. [ jasper grins, looking at the array of food with a wry twist to his mouth. ] Not sure if it's a bad habit or not yet, but--

[ he shrugs his shoulders a little.]

Stress baking?

[ Noctis can't help but think of Ignis right now, because this sounds just like something he would do if given a full kitchen. Well, something he would have done had Altissa not happened... He tries not to think about that part. ]

I don't see how stress baking is a bad habit, especially if you have friends who will eat the food and it's good.

[ there is a laugh at that from jasper. ]

I like to think that it's good. I mean, none of my friends have ever complained. [ then again, only one of his friends here can really eat what he bakes, so--] There have been a few misses, I will admit, but everyone's gotta try making Dorito shortbread at least once in their life...

[ Noctis makes a bit of a face at the dish the other man mentions. He's already had to make so many changes in his diet after leaving the Crown City, and now he's going to have to do it again because he knows nobody else is going to cater to his pickiness the way Ignis does. ]
