[Gaura is honestly rather used to getting lost. He's been fired from enough jobs for being late to work because of it, after all. So now he feels like maybe that happened here? Yes, he's had everything explained to him but that certainly hasn't stopped the confusion.

But after going in circles for several hours he's finally discovered this feature and he's giving it a go.]

Hi there. [He gives a smile. A look he's figured out is usually the thing to get someone to help.]

Could someone help me out? I seem to have lost my way to my apartment and nothing is really looking that familiar. Is Koreatown familiar to anyone at least?

[Around a mouthful of food, he nods with a little smile. Getting to show Xingchen how to make a new pie? That would be fun.]

It's not to hard. I'd love to.

Wonderful! I haven't had much chocolate, but a lot of people seem to love it.

[He does use sugar in his pies - just not an overwhelming amount. The sweetness comes from the berries.]

It's really creamy. A custard if you've had that. And then when you add whipped cream it adds another layer of flavor to it.

[He doesn't get to have it a lot but it's definitely the flavor that makes him the happiest.]

[Finding a sheet of paper, he writes down the ingredients.]

It will be new to me, but I trust Gaura's guidance.

[Listing the ingredients off the top of his head is easy enough. He has a good memory. Between bites of food, he checks it over to be sure everything is there before continuing.]

Pies are fun because they can be sweet or savory. And then have so many flavors in both.

[gentledawn]

[He makes corrections where necessary and nods when the list is complete. Folding the paper, he places it in the pouch at his waist.]

Savory pies have...meat? Cabbage?

Potatoes sometimes too. It depends on what kind that you're making. There's even some kinds that are shaped so you can carry them around in your hands to eat.

[gentledawn]

Those mini-pies? [He chuckles.] They are almost too cute to eat.

[pinkblinded]

Mmm... Rather than look like the pies you've made but smaller they're like...

[He ponders how to describe it then holds his hands out in the shape of one.] Like a blanket pocket of dough with all the filling hiding inside.

[gentledawn]

Like vegetables and meat tucked in for a good night's sleep! [He grins, pleased.] I remember something like that being sold on the streets of bigger towns.

[He lights up when he sees his friend has understood.]

Yes. Just like that. And they make it so easy to carry around to eat. They're good for meals or snacks.

[gentledawn]

Having some of those freshly baked would be good for the students. [After they work so hard, he can see them fed.]

They would! They'd provide them with nutrition and energy for their bodies. Working that hard means they need a higher intake of food.

[gentledawn]

You're right. Zichen could use a meal too. His endurance is remarkable, but it's not never-ending.

Sometimes having a strong endurance just means that you're able to ignore the suffering of your body longer. Having him be able to eat and take breaks would help him so he wouldn't have to do that.

[gentledawn]

He could be...suffering? [That obviously bothers him.] I need to take care of him better.

[pinkblinded]

He might not be aware of it. Much of endurance though is pushing your body though. So he likely isn't suffering but more breaks to rest would be helpful to him.

[gentledawn]

You're very wise. [Zichen is the sort to push himself.] He never complains and he doesn't admit he is tired until we are ready for bed.

[His cheeks color as he's called wise and he hides his face a little with his hand before eating some more.] He must be very hardworking.

[gentledawn]

Extremely! I thought I was strong and capable, but Song Zichen can do just about anything he sets his mind to.

[Gaura, how can he leave you behind for the night?]

[pinkblinded]

People like that are amazing...

[He doesn't know how he'll ever compare really. He's not really that kind of person. There's been plenty he's given up on simply because he knows that he can't do it.]

[gentledawn]

He will like you as much as I do.

[He knows his Zichen. The man will check up on Gaura and make sure he is safe wherever he goes. And there is nothing wrong with knowing one's limitations. Everyone has a line they won't cross.]

But I haven't met your husband yet...

[Will he really like him so much?]

[gentledawn]

And? [He tilts his head.] I know my Zichen. We are soulmates.

[He looks down feeling a little ashamed to have questioned that.] You are right. I apologize...
