Unfortunately, I don't think there's any one answer to that question. Where I come from, customs vary between cultures and even social stratospheres.

i don't know if i will become a spirit when i die, but for now i am a fae. my not-husband is a human, so i'm still learning many things.

I think it's important to do what works between two people. As much as tradition exists it doesn't always work for the ones involved.

What matters is that you show the other you care. If you do that then it isn't important how it's done.

Poems would also be nice to incorporate in love letters.

I believe it is very different depending on person or social... environment. Though I believe gifts are common, like flowers or treats, and spending time with the person you are courting.
