Uhm, does anyone here know anything about taking care of a cat?

Or... someone who turned into a cat?

Paimon really doesn't know what to do! And Paimon can't just ask him what he needs, because all he can do is meow!

[The camera shifts to a pretty little cat, looking very disgruntled as it sits on what some people might recognize as Aether's signature white and gold scarf.]

[Did you know Kizuna can turn you into a cat?? Consider this an important PSA.]

Hahaha! Don't get sulky again, Aether, c'mon.

[he gives the video a thumbs up] I'm on my way!

[it shouldn't take too long to get there, he's over in the West anyway]

[And one quick trip into an interdimensional teapot later-- Paimon is there to welcome him at the front door.]

Itto! Boy, is Paimon ever glad to see you here! Come on, he's inside! And still sulking...

[And inside, sitting on the floor in the middle of the room is... Aether. Except he's a cat.]

[He looks uncomfortable, perched on his toes close to the ground, with his fluffy tail wrapped over his feet. But as soon as he looks up and sees Itto, he stands properly, and speaks... but all that comes out is a meow.]

[And so he goes back to the way he was before with a little sigh. He's upsetti.]

[oh no a sulky kitty traveler and worried emergency food- I mean Paimon] Still? Well we'll just have to cheer him up.

[he steps over to Aether and crouches down - he's tempted to just scoop him up but he also doesn't want to make him more upset or get scratched] C'mon, don't look so down. Can I pick you up?

[You know, if pretty much anyone else asked that, he'd likely be more wary. But he trusts Itto a lot -- and he's already been held by him enough times by now that he's not afraid of being dropped.]

[So he looks back up and nods -- even standing again to make him easier to lift. Is he sparkling a little? ...yes, of course he is, he's just a Kizuna Creature at this point.]

[But that just has Paimon giggling. "See? I knew having you here would cheer him up!"]

[at least the sparkling is more of a tip off that this isn't just a curse, but y'know Itto's moved on to think about more important things too so the thought is there and gone.

He carefully scoops Aether up, holding him in one arm so the other is free to pet - and he goes right for the ears]

That's 'cuz it's impossible to be sad when I'm around!

[Going for the ears is cheating...!!]

[You'd think Aether was never in a bad mood to begin with. He quickly relaxes against Itto, leaning into his touch as he's petted. And yes -- it really doesn't take long for him to start to purr.]

[Though it cuts off when he looks up and realizes Paimon is there watching them, hand on her chin.]

["Say... do you think this could just be another Kizuna thing? Like, maybe the really super ultra version of getting cat ears?"]

[it's not cheating, he just knows it's the quickest way to cheer Aether up even more. He laughs a little when he starts purring and even when he stops he keeps going, switching to the other ear.

He glances up at Paimon]

I mean, maybe? It gave him the cat ears when he had 'em, right? So I guess it's possible - if it's that, though . . . uh, it's good to know it can get a little extreme.

["So if it's Kizuna, then... it should be possible to turn him back! Maybe one of us could try making a wish? Paimon knows that can work-- that's how Paimon came to Nippon in the first place!"]

[But does he actually want him to turn back right away? Look how cute he is! He even shifts to curl up a bit more, very at ease in Itto's arms.]

[Itto glances down as Aether curls up, letting his claws slip down to scratch between his shoulders instead]

You didn't follow him here? Huh. We could try it? [he pauses, leaning over a little to look at Aether]

What do you think? Should we see if we can't wish you back?

["Ehe, that's right! Paimon showed up here after Aether wished he could see Paimon again. So maybe wishing to see him as a person again will do the same!"]

[He's never going to make fun of Paimon again, because he sure didn't think of that!!]

[He looks up at Itto and nods eagerly, even leaning up in his arms and resting two paws on his chest. Please try!!]

You sure he wasn't just wishing for some lavender melons, chibi? [it's teasing, a hint of fang showing as he grins.

Itto has never really tried any of the wishing stuff, but what's the harm in trying, right?

He scritches the top of Aether's head with a little laugh] So - do I just concentrate? Or - wait, should we do it at the same time, you think?

No way! He was definitely wishing for Paimon!

[HUFFS]

[But for his part, Aether is really hoping this will work! He's so tired of being a cat. He just wants to wear pants again!]

[...]

[But, uh. Hm.]

[Come to think of it, if he turns back, he won't be wearing anything, will he?]

Let's do it at the same time, at the count of three! One, two--

Hahaha! If you say so.

[huh, but that reminds him - he did have a question for both of them, but he'll ask it later. This needs all his focus!]

Three!

[clothes are not on his mind, but he's he's wishing real hard for Aether to be human again]

[And just like magic, with a burst of sparkles-- suddenly, Aether is back to normal!]

[Except he's completely naked, with Itto's arm wrapped around his bare ass, and his body all squished up against Itto's chest.]

--ah.

[And just as Paimon shrieks and covers her eyes, he immediately transforms back into a cat-- only this time, he leaps out of Itto's arms and bolts out of the room and up the stairs to hide.]

[bYE]

[—oh. Well, the no clothing thing doesn't bother him, but uh, yeah maybe Paimon would have a problem with it, huh.

He sputters as Nyaether jumps out of his arms, flailing a little in a failed attempt to catch him] Oi oi—!

. . .

It almost worked!

A-Almost... Paimon can't tell which one of us is more traumatized.

[Probably Aether. Paimon saw his booty.]

How about we try again, but this time-- you be the one to do it!

...cause he won't run away if just you see him naked, right?

Don't think Paimon doesn't know.

[PAIMON KNOWS TOO MUCH]

—know what? I don't know what you're talking about.

[look at this face he has no idea what she means!!

(yes he does he can't lie to save his life)]

But uh, yeah, I could try it on my own - think I should head up there after him?

Hah! Don't play dumb! Aether hasn't said anything, but Paimon knows!

[POINTS]

[ACCUSINGLY]

[For the record, Aether can hear this, and it's not helping.]

[BRACING FOR THE WORST okay no Paimon knowing what they're up to is actually kind of, well, not embarrassing but awkward how old even is she—]

[. . . ok that is. A lot better than what he was thinking but also -

How is he supposed to answer???]

It's, er - well . . .

[how do you explain friends with benefits but also maybe there's a few dokis involved?]

Geez, you don't just ask someone something like that, chibi! Especially if it's supposed to be a secret!

[answer: you don't]

Aha! So you admit it!

[Maybe Itto was hoping this would get him off the hook. But alas, he may have have in fact just opened ~~Pandora's~~ Paimon's Box. Because instead of backing off, Paimon floats closer, getting up in his face.]

[Notably, she seems a bit more aware this time -- talking quieter so only Itto will hear the conversation.]

So what's with the secrecy, huh? Are you embarrassed about him? Or are you planning to break his heart, too?
