[theatrics]

(( A perhaps familiar face is on the screen. Or perhaps not so familiar. Ouyang usually keeps to himself and his admittedly small social circle for reasons that are probably obvious to anyone who looks at him: the damned feminine face. The ancient armor he sports does nothing to take the softness from the shape of it or the lost look in his now golden cat eyes. ))

What is it like to have something that's yours and only yours?

[His name. Not the new pet name that his love has given him. Worried, he steps closer to him.]

What happened, Ya'er? Tell me.

[theatrics]

(( Where to even begin? So much happened in so short of a time, it feels like Ouyang was caught in a whirlwind. He's glad for the helmet and armor that hide his most expressive cat features. ))

I said no to him.

[dragonrising]

To who?

[He knows this would be a foolish decision for others but he reaches out to touch that helmet. To grip it gently between is hands so he can start to lift it away. So he can see Ouyang's face better.]

[theatrics]

(( He practically winced, but stilled himself so as no to pull away. Oh, but he's had his share of being touched this day. It shows in the weariness in his eyes and edging his features. ))

Your dog demon.

(( He spits the words as if poison were on his tongue. ))

[dragonrising]

I see.

[He won't deny that Sesshomaru is his. Ouyang deserves better than dishonesty. Especially with that look in his eyes. Frowning in concern, he lets the helmet fall away and watches him calmly.]

And yet he still touched you...

[He just wants to understand first. He's had enough of rushing to conclusions in his past. This requires patience and careful listening.]

[theatrics]

(( something hot like rage flared in his golden cat eyes and his ears folded back. ))

The audacity!

[dragonrising]

[He sighs. Sesshomaru is still very young and new to humanity. It doesn't surprise him that the demon would try to treat everyone as he treats Runyu. Something that cannot work and this is the proof before him.]

It was wrong of him. He should have respected your boundaries when you established them.

[theatrics]

I told hi--

(( The words cut off in a ragged cough, blood spattering on his lips. It must be from their fight. Even in armor being shoved so violently by a supernatural being against a tree that it broke must have done some damage. ))

[dragonrising]

...Ya'er, you can forgive me for this later.

[With a sweep of his hand, he dispels the armor so that it rests next to them. Then he moves forward so he can move Ouyang to kneel before kneeling before him. Closing his eyes, he starts sweeping his hands and tapping Ouyang's chest in several key points.]

Don't move. We're tied like this and it will hurt us both if you move before I finish healing you.

[theatrics]

(( By the time he can even make a noise in protest, it's too late. It was fine if he were hurt, but Runyu? Contrary to what a certain demon seems to think, Ouyang would never hurt him, not knowingly. Not willingly. He casts his eyes down and remains still, letting Runyu tends to his injuries. ))

I would not hurt you...

(( His voice is small. ))

[dragonrising]

[Runyu's energy has wrapped around them both. Blue and cooling as he lets it slide inside of Ouyang so he can heal him internally. Breathing deep, he concentrates but still responds.]

I know that you wouldn't. I trust you.

[theatrics]

He told me... to stop hurting you.

(( Already he can feel Runyu's energy working to heal. It's cool and comforting and soon Ouyang finds himself breathing easier. ))

[dragonrising]

I've never believed you were hurting me.

[Not once. But he cannot elaborate on that further while he knits the internal injuries closed.]

[theatrics]

(( Ouyang falls silent, waiting until Runyu has completed his work. Only when he's down does Ouyang lift his eyes to meet Runyu's ))

Khairaa...

[dragonrising]

[That intense of healing is always tiring but Runyu doesn't stop until Ouyang is fully better. Only then does he lower the energy and open his eyes. Reaching over, he cups his lover's face.]

There. You're safe now...

[theatrics]

(( He's hesitant to reach out to his beloved, but eventually does so to help support his weight. ))

I know it doesn't matter, but I only want you and Mingye. I only love you and Mingye. He is my heart and you are my soul, as vital as the air breathe. As long as I live, I will have no others.

[dragonrising]

Then you will have no others. I will not fault you for that or ever ask you to change.

[He smiles warmly at him and leans in so he can kiss his forehead.] You are perfect as you are. I would never wish you to be different.

[theatrics]

(( Ouyang closes his eyes and breathes in a slow breath. ))

Is it impossible for us to be enough for you?

[dragonrising]

I have always had others here. But they have never truly had all of me. It isn't to say that you two are not enough for me. That isn't how I view it. Rather you and Ye'er are the only ones I give myself to. That I would submit for. That have my heart and my soul.

[He reaches out to touch the scale that he knows Ouyang wears under his clothes.]

The only ones I would sacrifice spiritual power for in order to share my scales with. The body is one thing but for me it has only ever been a small measure. I care for others and I even love them in a way. But my thoughts always drift to the two of you. You two are my saviors and my blessing. My greatest joy and my greatest hunger to protect. To say I love you can never describe the vastness of my feelings.

[Getting to his knees, he cups Ouyang's face as he gazes at him.]

I would tear all the scales from my body for the two of you. I would give up all my power for you two. I would do none of this for any other.

[theatrics]

(( Indeed, the scale is there, tucked safely beneath his clothes to lay against his chest. He never takes it off, so meaningful is it to him. Nor does he take off the ring Mingye gave him - a matched set that will help them find each other no matter what. ))

I once thought the greatest sacrifice I could make was to die for someone. It's easy to die for someone. What's difficult is living for them. I live for you, khaira. And I die without you.

[dragonrising]

[He smiles at him and can't stop a tear that falls down his cheek as he leans in to give him a lingering kiss.]

Live for me. And I will live for you.

[theatrics]

I do.

(( He swears it as solemn as an oath, finally reaching up to cup Runyu's cheek. ))

But I cannot help what I feel, khairaa. Can you promise me that I will never know of your others? I do not wish to know who they are or what you do.

[dragonrising]

I cannot control what others will share. But I can promise I will never tell you. You have a right to not know and I will respect that. I give my vow.

[theatrics]

(( It's all he can ask. It's enough to pretend Runyu is his. Others may face his ire if they overshare, but never Runyu.

Ouyang's fingers coil in Runyu's robes and he leans in a fierce, possessive kiss. ))

AS far as I'm concerned, you are mine, and no one else's.

[dragonrising]

[Cupping the back of his head, he rubs his thumb through his hair.]

Then that is how it shall be. I am yours. I give myself to you, Ya'er.
