I'm sorry I couldn't give you better news. [And he truly means that.] Of course I will, family is such a precious thing. If you need any help settling or if you have any questions about this place I will do my best to help you. As would my brother and my son as well, I'm sure, and they have been here longer than I have so they'll likely know more.

Still, I'm sorry to be the bearer of ill news. I felt much the same when I first arrived, I still do at times truthfully. It is a strange place, isn't it? I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before, and I have seen a great many things during the long years of my life.

What do you mean strange side effects? I'm aware of magic but... I don't know the magic here.

It can cause you to experience changes, both physical ones and mental ones. I have heard there are things here that can make you feel more... affectionate, I suppose one might say.

And how do you know what foods to avoid?

Personaly I prefer to observe others eating for a while before I decide what to eat. Most of the effects seem to be rather harmless, I must admit, but I'm loathe to eat anything that meddles with me in such a way.

I see. I'll have to be careful. I can make fruits if I'm particularly in a pinch.

It's a good habit to have when it comes to most things. Being careful, I mean. It rarely causes any harm and does wonders to keep one out of trouble. It must be very handy to be able to have a food source so readily available.
