[ It's strange being in a completely new and different place. She'd grown up in a very small world, tucked away from most things that are bad in the world. ]

It's alright. I don't think I was really expecting good news. Thank you. I'm a little lost. I've never been anywhere that was anything like this. I'm from a small place.

Still, I'm sorry to be the bearer of ill news. I felt much the same when I first arrived, I still do at times truthfully. It is a strange place, isn't it? I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before, and I have seen a great many things during the long years of my life.

I'm sure you will get to know the people around here quite well. They have all been very helpful and friendly to me. Have anyone... warned you about the strange side effects of some of the food around here? As well as the... magic that is used here?

What do you mean strange side effects? I'm aware of magic but... I don't know the magic here.

It can cause you to experience changes, both physical ones and mental ones. I have heard there are things here that can make you feel more... affectionate, I suppose one might say.

And how do you know what foods to avoid?

Personaly I prefer to observe others eating for a while before I decide what to eat. Most of the effects seem to be rather harmless, I must admit, but I'm loathe to eat anything that meddles with me in such a way.

I see. I'll have to be careful. I can make fruits if I'm particularly in a pinch.

It's a good habit to have when it comes to most things. Being careful, I mean. It rarely causes any harm and does wonders to keep one out of trouble. It must be very handy to be able to have a food source so readily available.
