[Poor Xingchen isn't immune to stray illnesses - though his golden core is strong enough to heal him quickly. However he has had a tough week regardless and his hair is loose against his fever red cheeks.]

To those who haven't seen me attending to my usual duties, I apologize. I have been feeling under the weather.

[He blinks suddenly, realizing he pressed video instead of voice. Ah. Bowing his head, his long rabbit ears pressed against his head, he looks ashamed and embarrassed.]

I'm... well. Please don't worry.

I will. [He settles himself and opens himself to what Runyu is offering. His trust in his friend is unbreakable.]

[ It's not all that much longer before Zichen steps in. His cheeks aren't quite as red as his husband's, but there is certainly a note of lingering illness in him. Only because it's Runyu does he not react poorly, and simply joins his beloved without a word. His trust in Runyu is just as unbreakable. ]

[His eyes are closed and his focus is entirely on Xingchen in that moment. Though he senses someone else is in the room, he doesn't pull his attention away just yet. He doesn't want to do something to damage his friend.]

[Xingchen is immediately aware of Zichen. He doesn't even need to open his eyes! Without interrupting Runyu, he holds out a hand to his husband, seeking to share the healing with him.]

He's here. [He murmurs, hoping his voice won't startle Runyu.]

[ Zichen immediately takes the offered hand, thread their fingers together. Neither of them need to see to know where the other is. Especially when they're close by or need help. He keeps his silence, also not willing to startle their friend. ]

[Hearing the words, he moves his other hand to where he senses Zichen to be and presses his hand over his core too. To this man he also gives his energy, breathing deep as he strengthens their cores to make it easier for them both to recover from their illnesses.]

[gentledawn]

[Xingchen holds onto his Zichen as firmly as he is able, sharing his core, letting the healing that Runyu is giving him radiate over to his soulmate. Everything that is his belongs to his Zichen too.

The red on his cheeks eases and as he cools, fatigue pulls at him stronger. Of course that is where Runyu steps in and Xingchen knows his next slumber will be healing.]

[ Immediately he breathes easier and he lets his eyes close as he opens himself to what both of these wonderful people offer. For Xingchen though, he answers the sweetness in kind. Everything that is his, is also Xingchen's.

He feels his body cool to normal temperatures as his core strengthens. They will both sleep very well tonight. ]

[Once he's sure both men are at a point where sleep will be what they need most, he slows down the flow to a close. Then he smiles at both men as he opens his eyes.]

That should help you both to get well faster.

[Feeling better than he has in a week - and not just because of the healing Runyu gave him but also because he can sense that Zichen is feeling relief too - Xingchen opens his eyes and leans forward, nudging his forehead against Runyu's affectionately.]

Thank you. Our cores might be more damaged than we realized after...

[What they endured back in their world.]

[ Xingchen isn't the only one to lean forward to thank Runyu with a head nudge, though Zichen is a breath behind. He's also feeling far better than the last week has left him. He squeezes his husband's hand gently. ]

It just means we will need to take better care of them now.

[ Zichen reaches up to rest his free hand on Runyu's cheek. ]

[Cupping both of their heads he holds them there a moment then pulls back to give each of their foreheads a kiss before coaxing them back into bed.]

Worry about that tomorrow. Tonight it's time for you both to sleep.

[The affection gives him peace and he closes his eyes serenely. Runyu almost doesn't have time to finish before Xingchen falls back against the pillows, fast asleep. It has been a long week.]

[ Zichen sighs quietly and doesn't fight it, just settles back beside his husband and draws him into his arms. There is no threat to either of them, he knows Runyu won't allow it. He swiftly joins Xingchen in sleep. ]

[Runyu smiles at them both and makes sure they're both tucked in before going through to make sure all doors are locked so that they will be safe in their rest. They deserve it.]
