[It's been quite awhile since Runyu last made a post of his own on here. But he's feeling the mood for it. So he turns on the video and offers a smile to the network as a whole before he starts speaking. His dragon features are on full display.]

You know, when I arrived here I had committed a great many evil deeds. I looked on this place as a sort of new location to finish out my years of isolation for all that I'd done. Yet as I've been here I've found friendship, love, and, most of all, healing. Though my crimes are still many and cruel, I've found that I can atone for what I have done here.

[He laughs softly and shakes his head.]

Yesterday I was blessed to witness two people I love so very much get married to each other. Something I never would have been able to be part of before through entirely the fault of my own. I'm grateful, to say the very least.

[The dragon lowers his head a moment with a soft smile.]

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things, I suppose.

[Runyu lifts his head again.]

I wondered if anyone has found healing here as well. A chance to grow to be someone better than they were and to heal from the shadows of the past. I'd like to hear your stories if you are willing to share them. Thank you.

I would be a terrible friend if I did otherwise. [Xingchen might be naive, but he knows a warm heart when he finds one.] Someone who couldn't love wouldn't long for it so badly.

[dragonrising]

[Ah yes. Xingchen has always been able to see right through him. He's grateful for that.] I just needed a special friend to show me that.

[gentledawn]

I will remind you too, though I believe your lovers are doing a fine job of that. [As well as keeping Runyu warm. Xingchen knows that chill and it breaks his heart to see it in another.]

[dragonrising]

They are doing a wonderful job, I promise. Their belief in me gives me strength every day.

[gentledawn]

True love strengthens; it never weakens. I know you have chosen well.

[dragonrising]

That is a lesson I truly had to learn here. Yet it's one I cannot be more grateful for.

[gentledawn]

I had to learn it too. [Much to his shame.] But it is a lesson I will not forget.

[dragonrising]

We both needed this place for that. [But they've learned their lesson well. That he knows to be true.]

Now you have a good man in your life.

[gentledawn]

My Zichen is happier than I have ever seen him - in part thanks to you. Thank you for making him feel clean.

[dragonrising]

[He bows his head humbly.] I was glad that I could. He deserved to have that safety in his life.

[gentledawn]

I could never give it to him. [Xingchen sighs and then shakes his head.] It doesn't matter. As long as he is feeling better, that is what counts.

[dragonrising]

We cannot always give the people we love everything they need. But that's why we can rely on others to be there where we can't be. And there is no fault in that.

[gentledawn]

You're right. I dream too much. [He smiles bashfully.] And I'm greedy.

[dragonrising]

[He smiles at him.] I don't think that you are either, Xingchen.

[gentledawn]

Are you sure? [He chuckles.] Everyone can be greedy.

[dragonrising]

Having moments of being greedy does not make you greedy, my friend.

[gentledawn]

I do try to not be that way. [With all his might.]

[dragonrising]

You are allowed some moments. I promise.
