[It's been quite awhile since Runyu last made a post of his own on here. But he's feeling the mood for it. So he turns on the video and offers a smile to the network as a whole before he starts speaking. His dragon features are on full display.]

You know, when I arrived here I had committed a great many evil deeds. I looked on this place as a sort of new location to finish out my years of isolation for all that I'd done. Yet as I've been here I've found friendship, love, and, most of all, healing. Though my crimes are still many and cruel, I've found that I can atone for what I have done here.

[He laughs softly and shakes his head.]

Yesterday I was blessed to witness two people I love so very much get married to each other. Something I never would have been able to be part of before through entirely the fault of my own. I'm grateful, to say the very least.

[The dragon lowers his head a moment with a soft smile.]

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things, I suppose.

[Runyu lifts his head again.]

I wondered if anyone has found healing here as well. A chance to grow to be someone better than they were and to heal from the shadows of the past. I'd like to hear your stories if you are willing to share them. Thank you.

When I first came here there had only been Xiao Xingchen who cared for me. Then, you came along and not only did you help heal me but you also allowed me to find love. Something I never thought I'd find. Especially when I didn't think I was worthy of it. Not after everything with Feng Wu and Jun Linyuan.

[He smiles softly because he knows Mingye's story well. It's something that bonded them together early on because they understood each other so well.]

Yes. It's a feeling I understand all too well. But I was always honored that I could show you that you are worthy. Of love and so much more.

It helps that you were very patient with me. It also helps that we learned to respect each nother's boundaries too.

You are very easy to be patient with. Though I was always happy to respect your boundaries as we grew closer. You're special to me. Even then you were.

[He blinks in surprise. Less about the gege which certainly moves him but more about the flower for him.]

Mmhm! She's very big when she blooms, so you will need to keep her outside. Let her climb a fence or a trellis and she will be happy.

[Happy tears shine in his eyes and he has to dab at them before he speaks to his friend. Runyu, you've come so far!]

[He laughs softly and smiles warmly at his friend.]

Thank you for showing me I deserved light in the world when I first arrived, Xingchen.

[Oh no, the tears will start again with talk like that!]

Of course you do! The light you give is lovely and warm. I know because I have basked in it.

I cannot claim to have been through as much as you have in your long life, but this place has made me a better man.

(( And Runyu himself has been a big part of that. ))

I love seeing the man you've become and knowing that I get to watch that growth, Ya'er. It's wonderful to see how warm your heart is.

(( A beat and then he chuckles quietly. He really doesn't mind if people know he's warm guy once they get past his initial brusque demeanor. ))

[The dragon laughs softly at that.]

Oh? Is that all?

I suppose making amends with my cousin counts for something. We didn't used to get along at all. Now we kinda rely on each other.

{A masked man is watching, weighing what Runyu has to say. Does that mean there is hope for all? Xuanye smirks to himself, unconvinced and yet... He has been able to talk to his son.}

You are rambling and there hasn't been any healing for me.

{He is just being an ass because he can be one. Besides he senses "Heaven" on this one.}

[It's very hard to offend Runyu and so he just gives a soft laugh.]

Are you new? Perhaps there hasn't been time yet which is alright. Besides, not everyone can get the same thing from a place.

He is probably right. Xuanye runs his fingers over his mask.}

New enough. I haven't had time to milk this place of all it can give me.

You have worked hard here. I am glad you have found some peace and healing.

[ Zishu finds a warm smile for his friend that isn't at all forced or strained. He's just still a little pale, a little visibly exhausted. But far better than the first few days after his Lao Wen's disappearance from Nippon. ]

And you are not the only one who has found either, or both. I think that is part of the greatest benefit of this place.

You are one of the ones that I have to thank for that, my friend. You have done so much for me even when you didn't have to.

Aah? I've done a lot of things I did not have to do. In this case, I am even more glad of the result.

[Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things. It's that line that draws Raphael in to this man and makes him listen to the rest, curious about both his appearance and his words.]

I rarely see another individual even close to as long-lived as myself.

[He doesn't hide what he is anymore, having long since moved past that particular affectation at least. Though, he does look remarkably human on the video.]

I don't know if I have... found healing, yet. But I have found the potential for it.

[He doesn't think much about the age thing. After all, he's been here long enough to know that people will rarely look what their age is "meant to be". So he focuses on the latter part instead with a gentle smile.]

Not everyone will find healing. But even to find the potential is a wonderful thing as well. That's something that can be harder for some.

Mm...

[It's funny, because someone like him isn't supposed to be the kind of being to even need that sort of healing, and yet here he is regardless. He's done so many things he regrets, had things done to him that have left marks deeper than any scar, and he thinks... little by little... he is moving towards reconciling some of those events.]

If you want to know my story I can tell it to you, but it is a long story.

[Given that Raphael is, by all accounts, almost as old as creation itself.]

And not an easy one to hear, I'm told.
