[It's been quite awhile since Runyu last made a post of his own on here. But he's feeling the mood for it. So he turns on the video and offers a smile to the network as a whole before he starts speaking. His dragon features are on full display.]

You know, when I arrived here I had committed a great many evil deeds. I looked on this place as a sort of new location to finish out my years of isolation for all that I'd done. Yet as I've been here I've found friendship, love, and, most of all, healing. Though my crimes are still many and cruel, I've found that I can atone for what I have done here.

[He laughs softly and shakes his head.]

Yesterday I was blessed to witness two people I love so very much get married to each other. Something I never would have been able to be part of before through entirely the fault of my own. I'm grateful, to say the very least.

[The dragon lowers his head a moment with a soft smile.]

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things, I suppose.

[Runyu lifts his head again.]

I wondered if anyone has found healing here as well. A chance to grow to be someone better than they were and to heal from the shadows of the past. I'd like to hear your stories if you are willing to share them. Thank you.

[dragonrising]

[His eyes warm and he smiles kindly at the man.]

What is he like? I'd like to hear about the man you love if you don't mind.

Pete? He's...

(( Vegas loos off, thoughtful. ))

Most people wouldn't notice a guy like him. He blends in. I'm not sure how he manages it 'cause he's gorgeous. And dangerous. But he's full of empathy and he likes to see others happy, I think. Maybe he didn't think he could be or that he deserved to be... But I can tell that he is now. We've been through a lot together in just a matter of months. Honestly, I did some really bad stuff to him and he still stuck with me. I can't live with out him and he can't live without me, either.

[dragonrising]

[Runyu listens quietly as the man speaks. Just hearing his tone tells him so much about how this man feels about his husband. It's heartwarming and he can't help but smile as he bows his head.]

He sounds like just the person that you need and you are what he needs as well. To me that is wonderful. I'm very happy you two have each other.

[safesex]

(( heartwarming murder husbands, yes. ))

I dunno that is was fate, but I like to think so.

[dragonrising]

I'm not the Fate Immortal, we've established that. But if you wouldn't mind the opinion from someone not involved then I believe you two are fated for each other. Those who are will always find their way to each other no matter the trials they face to get there.

[safesex]

(( Vegas breathes out a soft laugh. ))

I like the sound of that.

(( A thousand little things led up to him and Pete opening up to each other. A thousand decisions that could've gone differently led to the contained little world in which they were able to both be laid bare and really see each other. If that wasn't fate, what was? ))

I could talk about Pete for... ever really. I'm sure he hates it.

[dragonrising]

If he's anything like my loves then he loves to talk about you as much as I do about them.

[Because he knows they talk about him freely and he makes no effort to not talk about them too.]

[safesex]

What's the point if you can't brag on your partner?

[dragonrising]

[The dragon laughs freely at that.]

I agree! It's another way to show our love for them!

[safesex]

You said 'loves.' Wanna talk about them? Only seems fair I get to hear about yours, too.

[dragonrising]

I call them Ye'er and Ya'er. It's an affectionate way of speaking of them where I'm from. Their names are Mingye and Ouyang.

Both of them have been through great hardships in their lives but it's made them into the men that I know them to be. Ye'er is more playful and something called a demonic cultivator. His bird changes suit him well because you will often find him up in a tree playing his instrument.

Ya'er is a soldier and more serious. But there is a warmth to him that he reveals to those who take the time to get to know him. He's found his way here wonderfully and loves to take care of his poor, helpless nobles.

[Runyu laughs quietly.]

They both showed me that I deserve to be love and I made sure I showed them the same. Among my kind it is considered a great act of love to take a piece of your true body and give it to the one you love. I've made sure that each of them carry one of my scales.

[safesex]

(( There's a lot to unpack, but the key takeaway? This dragon is happy. And Vegas can appreciate that. He's never been happier than he has been with Pete. Of course, it's different from person to person, but listening to Runyu discuss his partners makes it very clear that theirs is a relationship of love and respect. ))

Sounds like they're perfect for you.

They are. I love them very dearly and I try to make sure that they always know they are my treasures and my equals.

[safesex]

(( Equals. That's definitely what he and Pete are. Vegas nods once in understanding. ))

Did you meet them here or...?

[dragonrising]

I did. I met Mingye first then Ouyang. There was a connection I felt with them from the start that drew me in.

[safesex]

(( He gets the impression when Runyu says 'connection' that he doesn't mean mere physical attraction. That's enough of a start for some people, but this guy doesn't seem to be that type. ))

I commend you. I could never share Pete.

[dragonrising]

There was a time when I would have shared these men because I felt I didn't deserve them. I even extended myself out. But I've come to realize I can't do that anymore. What we have is between the three of us.

I'm sure it looks like we're sharing each other but in truth we aren't. We're as united as two people would be together.

[safesex]

Glad it works for you. And that you're all happy together. That's the important part.

(( He would be devastated if Pete ever fell for someone else! ))

[dragonrising]

Thank you. I'm glad for that as well. I've had enough misery for several lifetimes. It's nice to have peace with them.

[safesex]

I'll drink to that.

(( Vegas knew a little something about misery. Maybe not lifetimes of it, but still. It wasn't until very recently, just before arriving here, that he began to get a taste of what real happiness was. ))

[dragonrising]

I'll have to stick to tea myself. But I would be happy to have a drink with you sometime.

[He knows that's not what was offered but he's happy to offer it himself.]

(( If Vegas has learned one thing since being here, it's that not everyone he encounters can handle alcohol. Or maybe they just don't want it, which is equally valid. ))

You ever had coffee?

Coffee? No. I'd be willing to try it though.
