[It's been quite awhile since Runyu last made a post of his own on here. But he's feeling the mood for it. So he turns on the video and offers a smile to the network as a whole before he starts speaking. His dragon features are on full display.]

You know, when I arrived here I had committed a great many evil deeds. I looked on this place as a sort of new location to finish out my years of isolation for all that I'd done. Yet as I've been here I've found friendship, love, and, most of all, healing. Though my crimes are still many and cruel, I've found that I can atone for what I have done here.

[He laughs softly and shakes his head.]

Yesterday I was blessed to witness two people I love so very much get married to each other. Something I never would have been able to be part of before through entirely the fault of my own. I'm grateful, to say the very least.

[The dragon lowers his head a moment with a soft smile.]

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things, I suppose.

[Runyu lifts his head again.]

I wondered if anyone has found healing here as well. A chance to grow to be someone better than they were and to heal from the shadows of the past. I'd like to hear your stories if you are willing to share them. Thank you.

[It's very hard to offend Runyu and so he just gives a soft laugh.]

Are you new? Perhaps there hasn't been time yet which is alright. Besides, not everyone can get the same thing from a place.

{Is he saying he isn't worthy?

He is probably right. Xuanye runs his fingers over his mask.}

New enough. I haven't had time to milk this place of all it can give me.

[dragonrising]

That could be why as well. Sometimes you have to let things happen as they will rather than pull every drop out. That's something I learned long ago.

[dontbestubborn]

Telling that to someone like me is funny. {Demons drag out every last drop.}

[dragonrising]

[He laughs softly.] Is it? I suppose that must be what you are more used to so I can't fault you for that.

[dontbestubborn]

From others? I never kept the company of others. Those who followed me knew if they ceased to fulfill their purpose, I would simply absorb them. Do you think they dared to speak more to me than necessary?

{His son is a member of Heaven, so he takes a chance, loosening his mask and revealing his face.}

[dragonrising]

[He watches the mask lower but it isn't a face that he knows. Still, that doesn't cause him to flinch and he only nods.]

I lived that kind of life once. It wasn't a happy one for me even if I tried to pretend otherwise.

[dontbestubborn]

{Heaven is big, but even so, the role Yingyuan plays in it isn't small. This just answers one of his questions.}

What does happiness have to do with anything? I wanted power and immortality. Happiness could be acquired later.

[dragonrising]

Power and immortality...

[He hums softly in thought.] Did you get those things?

[dontbestubborn]

Power...yes. But not enough. Immortality? No.

{Unless...}

Well, I did achieve a type of immortality.

[dragonrising]

A type?

[He's curious at least. He would like to know as much of the story as he'll be allowed.]

[dontbestubborn]

I have a son. {Who looks exactly like him.}

[dragonrising]

Ah. So your immortality is that your legacy lives on in him. Is that right?

[dontbestubborn]

Isn't that what some say? The Asura do not often get the chance to even raise their sons and daughters.

[dragonrising]

May I ask what the Asura are? In your world, of course.

[dontbestubborn]

Demons. {Does that narrow it down? Probably not.} Demons that have unfortunate short lifespans.

[dragonrising]

I see. There are demons where I come from. In comparison to Immortals their lifespans are a good deal shorter.

[dontbestubborn]

If they are called Asura and bear a red mark on their forehead, they might be kin to me.

[dragonrising]

No. They often wear darker attire but they do not specifically carry a mark as you do. But they are rulers of their own realm as Immortals rule over their own as well.

[dontbestubborn]

Compared to other demons, Asura are stronger. We could rule it all, but we perish too soon. I am their King.

[dragonrising]

I wonder how you would compare to the Demons where I come from. It's hard to tell. Though, is that why you seek a longer life? Because you are their king?

[dontbestubborn]

I wish to rule Heaven. {Wished would be the correct tense, but he wants to see Runyu's reaction.}

[dragonrising]

[He doesn't even blink. They're not of the same world and he feels no threat here. Instead, he's only curious.]

Would that somehow save the lives of your people?

[dontbestubborn]

{Interesting. He is more accustomed to Heavenly sorts coming at him with swords and spears.}

The fighting would cease. Less of my people would die unnecessarily.

[dragonrising]

Is that what is causing their shorter lives? Death in battle?
