[It's been quite awhile since Runyu last made a post of his own on here. But he's feeling the mood for it. So he turns on the video and offers a smile to the network as a whole before he starts speaking. His dragon features are on full display.]

You know, when I arrived here I had committed a great many evil deeds. I looked on this place as a sort of new location to finish out my years of isolation for all that I'd done. Yet as I've been here I've found friendship, love, and, most of all, healing. Though my crimes are still many and cruel, I've found that I can atone for what I have done here.

[He laughs softly and shakes his head.]

Yesterday I was blessed to witness two people I love so very much get married to each other. Something I never would have been able to be part of before through entirely the fault of my own. I'm grateful, to say the very least.

[The dragon lowers his head a moment with a soft smile.]

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things, I suppose.

[Runyu lifts his head again.]

I wondered if anyone has found healing here as well. A chance to grow to be someone better than they were and to heal from the shadows of the past. I'd like to hear your stories if you are willing to share them. Thank you.

They're certainly curious about each other. That's a good start.

[theatrics]

Their introduction went well.

(( He nodded silently to himself. It had gone very well, in fact! Gerel was calm and Daiyu brave. A perfect first meeting. ))

I shall have to get something to carry Daiyu in since I won't be able to hold her on the hunt.

[dragonrising]

What would be best for you? I can make it.

[theatrics]

Something like a mei tai. Are you familiar with this sort of thing? It is... a sling for carrying infants.

[dragonrising]

Ah! Yes, I know what you mean. [He reaches over to pluck a large leaf from a nearby bush. With his magic, he transforms it into the long fabric that he'd mentioned. Perfectly patterned in shades of green and brown to best go with the attire his love always wore.]

[theatrics]

(( Those feline eyes go wide at the transformation. Then a loving smile passes of his lips. ))

Seeing your magic at work never gets old.

[dragonrising]

I admit that sometimes I forget how wonderful it can be to others because it's so much a part of me. But I do love the look you get in your eyes when you see it.

[theatrics]

(( Ouyang offered a gentle smile. ))

It is even more special to me because it is your magic.

[dragonrising]

You say the sweetest things.

[He leans over to press a kiss to his cheek.]

I like that you don't share this side of you so readily.

[theatrics]

(( The affection makes him flush, but he doesn't shy away from it. No, when it comes from Runyu, it only makes him feel warm and valued. He leans in closer against his dragon and lets a small smile linger on his lips. ))

It is only for you, khairaa.

[dragonrising]

I like that.

[No, that's not what he should say. So he turns so he can face him better and cup his cheek fondly.]

I love that.

[theatrics]

(( Whatever softness Ouyang exhibits is definitely something that Runyu brings out of him. He was never what one could consider kind or empathetic. Runyu draws that out from him. Yes, there are some he would consider allies and others he would defend, but Runyu? His beloved dragon would always hold a special place in his heart and be able to see all sides of Ouyang. ))

I am comfortable sharing this with you.

[dragonrising]

[Leaning in, he presses a kiss to his lips.]

I love you. I'm forever glad that I was able to find you in this world. You've made my life so much better and I will always be grateful for that.

[theatrics]

(( Those gold eyes fall close and Ouyang leans in to meet his beloved's lips. He reaches up to brush his fingers against the length of Runyu's hair hanging over his shoulder. Now that he wears Ouyang's braids, it's a gesture that means a lot to the General. ))

I am also grateful for you, Runyu. You have opened my eyes to a side of life I never thought I could know.

[dragonrising]

You and I both deserved better and I'm glad that we can have it together.

[He smiles so warmly at him, leaning into the touch to his hair. He adores that Ouyang braids his hair like this all the time now. It's something so special for him. For them both really.]

[theatrics]

(( It means so much to Ouyang that Runyu lets him braid his hair, wears those braids proudly. ))

I would not change anything in my life as long as it meant getting to meet you.

[dragonrising]

Nor would I. For I wouldn't be the same man who had met you. Instead you got to meet me as I am and for that I'm grateful because this is the man I most needed acceptance for.

[theatrics]

I only return what you give to me, khairaa.

(( Respect, love, and acceptance are all Runyu has given him from the start. His patience, his adherence to Ouyang's boundaries and needs... all of it led him to love and adore the dragon. Now, he can't imagine his life without Runyu. ))

[dragonrising]

[He laughs softly at that and nods.]

That is true. And I have always tried hard to make sure to give you everything and more. Perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised that you would give me the same.

[theatrics]

You deserve everything I have to give.

(( Ouyang has never been one to give his devotion lightly. And now that he's in a position to actually make choices about whom he associates with and how he tolerates others' behavior... Well, Runyu is definitely the most deserving in his eyes. ))

[dragonrising]

That is how I feel about you too.

[Runyu lets his fingers run through Ouyang's hair, admiring how soft it is. It always makes him smile that he can be allowed this contact with him.]

You are my heart. My soul. My khairaa.

[theatrics]

(( Ouyang reaches for Runyu's hand, taking it gently in both of his. He guides it to his chest and presses his beloved's palm over his heart. ))

I love you, Runyu. Now and always.

[dragonrising]

[Runyu smiles as he lets his palm rest there, feeling that heart that beats for him so perfectly.]

I love you too, Ouyang. So very much.

[theatrics]

(( What more needed to be said? He knows Runyu understands him and that is all he wants. Ouyang shifts in his seat to press himself to Runyu's side, tucking his head against his dragon's shoulder. ))
