So I was given a lot of information, a lot of it I didn't pay attention to. Mostly because I'm still trying to work out where I am and why I'm here. Opening that door might not have been the best idea but what were my other options?

From what I was able to understand magic is involved, there's housing available, and there might be others I know already here. If I can't get more information on any of that, can someone at least point me to the closest bar?

[Look. He doesn't want to be here but he can't do any work on the hotel, either. So his entertainment was being dragged out to the bar by Vegas, having his ass plunked down on a seat, and a drink put in front of him. Whisky on the rocks.

So he doesn't take much stock in some excitement and the buzz of conversation around him. It was a bar, after all. And he doesn't look up from his glass as new patrons show up, greeting the bar owner. ]

[Making his way through the city really brought home just how much his situation had changed. At certain parts it was like walking through a community dedicated to cosplay. And several times he had to remind himself that wasn't the case. Nor was it the time to allow himself to be distracted.

He had the directions to Pete's bar (and how great was it that his friend had set up his own bar?) and though the directions were good, he needed to pay attention to where he was going least he become lost.

All too soon, he was there, pushing the door open and stepping into the darkened interior from the bright light of day. Just what he expected. Now ...]

"It took me forever to find this place," he called out in a teasing tone. "You need to work on your directions, Pete." He found Pete and Vegas. He gave the former a grin and the latter a nod, though a friendly one.

[Looking beyond the pair, he found what he was looking for.]

"A-Kinn."

[He heard the tinkle of bells and didnt even bother looking up as the door opened. What made his head shoot up was the voice. And then he had to stand up to see for himself. Oh, it is him!]

Porsche?

[He ignores the glass that tips over as his hip checks the table. Kinn makes a beeline over, only barely registering that Porsche isn't as struck by Kinn's presence. And why should he? He hadn't been pining for his boyfriend for over two months.

He crashes into Porsche, hiding his face in the man's shoulder and grunting as his injured arm is jostled. His good hand curls into the back of Porsche's shirt and he takes in a deep breath, smelling home on Porsche's skin.]

You're late, you fucking asshole.

[There is no bite to his words, but a thready warble to his voice.]

But I've been here a while. Long enough to have a grasp on most of what's going on. Which do you want to ask about first? The magic, or the housing? Something else? I can't guarantee knowing if any of your friends are here, I'm afraid.

I think I have a handle on the housing. The magic though. I know nothing about it. Is there anything dangerous that I need to be on the watch for?

You're in luck, you just missed one of the more dangerous festivals this place has.

There's magic here that can take over your mind, alter your body, and make you more likely to do things you wouldn't normally consider doing. But we usually get a warning about it beforehand and I don't think anyone has actually died.
