So I was given a lot of information, a lot of it I didn't pay attention to. Mostly because I'm still trying to work out where I am and why I'm here. Opening that door might not have been the best idea but what were my other options?

From what I was able to understand magic is involved, there's housing available, and there might be others I know already here. If I can't get more information on any of that, can someone at least point me to the closest bar?

If you need to get to the other kingdom than the one you’re in you can use one of these weird transporter things. It’ll instantly take you there!

If you’re on the same side then you should use the tram. Have you ever ridden on a train?

I'm not sure what a motorcycle is, honestly. If you'll allow me, why don't I come to you and show you the way? I've explored the city quite a bit. You have my word that my intentions are only to be helpful.

I pay attention when I need to. But yeah, your help would be great. I really need to get the lay of the land. Like stores, shops, the best way to get around, areas to avoid, things like that.

[He described his location, hoping that would be enough to tell Lan Jingyi how to find him.]

[It doesn't take too long before the young Lan arrives hurrying (but not running) up to his lost new friend. A blonde dog tail wags happily behind him as he approaches with a wave. When he's close enough, he bows politely to Porsche again.]

Porsche-gege! I meant to ask before when we were speaking, are you hungry? There's a place near here that is the best noodle shop in the city. It was my shishu's favorite.

[The tail catches Porsche's immediate attention but it is less eye catching than some of the other extras he'd seen since his arrival. That is something he will have to make the effort to understand least he end up with wings or cat ears or something against his will.]

I agree! At this place they'll add bits of meat and vegetables to your bowl, so it's not just noodles. We're not in Gusu, so I can order chicken without breaking any rules.

What's the name of the bar you're trying to find, Porsche-gege? I don't frequent bars, but maybe I can ask someone.

Gusu? Is that where you're from then? [Not that Porsche had any frame of reference of where Gusu might be.

As Jingyi asked about the bar, another message came through. It was Pete with directions to go with the address for the bar. He tipped the device so the other could see.]

Here. This is where I've got to get too.

It's the home of my sect, the Lan clan. It's one of the four major clans in China. What area are you from?

[He steps closer to see the directions and nods again.]

I can help you find it. I don't know that place exactly, but it's down by the docks. They sell really fresh fish in a market nearby.

[Sect and clan were terms he could understand, assuming it must be something like the major and minor families. Though this kid didn't look like he was cut out for the mafia or the criminal underworld? Maybe they did things differently in China. He'd have to ask Kinn or Pete. Once he caught up to them, that was.]

You're a member of the Khun Kinn's family aren't you? He's from Thailand too!

[He realizes then what he'd been missing about the name of this bar they were trying to go to.]

I thought that sounded familiar! They named the bar after one of Khun Kinn's men isn't it?

[He gestures for Porsche to start moving faster. Now he knew just who he was dealing with, he wanted to get the man to his clan as soon as possible.]
