[Cheng seems to be in a decent mood, a half smile playing on his face and his body in a more relaxed pose. He's not slouching, but he doesn't look like he's ramrod stiff, either.]

I need to inquire about certain weapons. Ones that can be customizable.

[His 'room' doesn't look like the one he had been in previously. It looks more modern, a little stark in its decoration save for two items hanging in the window like sun catchers: a jade ring with a silver dragon entwined around it and a soapstone carving of a lotus blossom.]

Preferably, war fans. They would be called tessen here, I believe. Where I'm from, they can come in bamboo or steel boning, and I'd like to purchase a couple of sets of each. Any direction where I can find them and an artist to paint them would be greatly appreciated. Actually, I may know of an artist who can help me, but the fans themselves need to be purchased first.

That's the thing. I should be weak to the warmth around me because I'm the Fae of Winter. But as it turns out my biological mother is the Unseelie Queen. Because I have her blood in me I'm immune to the cold and warmth doesn't bother me.

[Taking one of his hands, he plays with Cheng's fingers as he explains his lineage. It's not a nice topic really but Riley's not going to say he doesn't want to talk about it. Someone he cares about should know these things about him.]

[ He could sense the uneasiness and he lets Riley fuss with his hands. Taking in a breath, he presses his lips to the back of Riley's neck and then breathes out. Maybe if he remains calm, it wouldn't upset Riley so much? ]

Being an Unseelie is not the same as being a winter Fae, then?

[He opts to ask about more generalized things than anything really direct. He wants to know more about Riley's people and maybe one day, the Fae could divulge in the whole story. But the whole story wasn't necessary, now. ]

The Fae are divided into two Courts. The Seelie and the Unseelie. The Seelie are often seen as the light bringers who handle things associated with Spring and Summer. The Unseelie are the ones of shadow who handle things associated with Autumn and Winter. Each of these Courts has a ruler.

[He watches his own hands play with Cheng's.]

Will used to be a Seelie Lord before he was exiled. I've never been aligned to either Court because I was given up due to being born deathly ill. But, Flower Fae and Winter Fae...that's where our powers rest and where we're the strongest. Seelie and Unseelie are the Courts were supposed to align with.
