[Again, he doesn't seem to be looking at them. Instead, he's tilted his head toward the screen to listen more closely.]

You use bone for your fortune telling? They sound...small?

[It's so hard to tell on these devices.]

Pretty small.

Bird skull, muskrat jaw, rabbit vertebrae, coyote knuckle, atlas bone.

So that's what I was hearing. It's not as easy for me to tell what the sounds mean through these things they gave us. They distort the sound quality and then it's not in person even if it didn't.

Of course, you have to connect with them yourself.

More like I'm blind. So these things mess with my ability to hear to learn the information I need about the world.

I suppose the convenience must outweigh the annoyance of it all.

Of these devices? I'm not sure how much they're a convenience for someone like me actually. But a friend showed me how to use it despite my circumstances.
