Video. un: dynamight
[An angry looking young man is shown on screen with his arms folded, tapping his fingers against his arm in poorly concealed restlessness. He barely looks into the video at first, still grumbling to himself.]
Fucking waste of time. I don't need magic to kick anyone's ass-
[He turns his attention back to the video, each word growled out like it's a threat.]
My hero name's Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, and I guess I'm here to save all of you from those shitty wannabe scientists! [He gestures to himself and grins confidently.] But before that, I wanna see who's the best at the magic kizuna crap and find out strong this supposed world-saving magic is myself! I'm gonna keep this brief, but one other thing-
WHY THE HELL DO I GOT THIS BITE MARK ON MY SHOULDER?!
[He gestures angrily at his left shoulder, where there appears to be a healed scar that looks as if someone bit him once, sitting above another scar that looks like something speared through him at one point.]
If any of you did this, I'll kill you!

What are you, some kinda hermit?!
[He's very proud of it and he worked hard on it.]
Not my problem and nope! Don't even think about half-assing it!

[Hmmm...]
At this point, it's either a shorthand version, or I risk butchering it repeatedly until I get it right. Pick one.
[It's just such a strange series of nouns and verbs and one singular adjective. A sequence of five words shouldn't be a problem to memorize, but the single lot of them are a mouthful at once. And none of them even tangentially related to his interests.]
no subject
[That's what he would do.]
Don't tell me to pick one! Keep practicing until you get it right!
[At least Glenn isn't insulting his hero name, but he doesn't have a lot of patience.]

I went to outer space, though. It's easier to keep a contagion from spreading when one is that far away.
[He takes a moment to say the name to himself, frowning.]
But I did tell you to pick one. Because knowing my mind, it may take a long while for me to get it right. It's also likely to take me nearly eight seconds to speak it each time.
[Not that he won't try, because that's the polite thing to do, but he'd hate to keep butchering it over and over again.]

YOU'VE BEEN TO SPACE?!
hang the fuck on
Contagion?
[Katsuki takes a moment to respond. Finally-]
FINE, if you can't call me that call me Bakugou.

I have it handled now. Turns out it was a laughably simple answer that I had but didn't realize it for ages.
q2: Yes. I've been in space for, arguably, more time than I've ever been planetside of late. If I had to measure it, the ratio of space-to-planetside is, out of a scale of 5, 4-to-1.
Bakugou, then. :)

You some kinda scientist?
Oh yeah? Care to elaborate on the answer?
[Katsuki does the math, but there's something off about the answer he reaches.]
You went to space when you were young? That must have been fucking boring.
no subject
Regarding space, well. Space-travel is common in my world. Like cars or trains. It's quiet, not boring.

Is there anywhere to go out there?

[Why do people like this?? But... his instincts get a thrill at the prospect.
[So he eventually lists a few places that seem open and unoccupied enough to not cause harm to others on accident, or collateral damage. Might as well.]
Any of those places are sufficient, I think.
no subject
[He looks over the locations a few moments before he responds again. He's just excited to spar. There may be plenty to explore here, but it's been difficult to adjust with no way to channel his pent-up energy.]
How about this place?
[He lists the location.]
no subject
Because this is such short notice, it will have to wait a little. I'll be useless as a sparring partner if I can't make sure I have my basic needs fully met.
But because this is a written medium, there is no chance of me forgetting.
no subject
.....You need food or some shit? Do you sleep?
Yeah no shit. I'd remind you if you did anyway.
no subject
Good. Even if I did have a risk of forgetting, I'd be grateful for the reminder.
no subject
Yeah, yeah.
