[The video opens up to the sepia image of a pale young man with even paler hair sitting under what at a first glance might seem like an umbrella. The camera turns slightly and captures the image of a dark haired, beautiful man sitting close against him with his hands tightly gripped Kazuha's sleeve, and it becomes apparent that it's actually a hat.
It's raining, just slightly, enough to muddy the ground they're sitting on. It's a bit too late for them anyway— their clothes and parts of their skin are smeared with dirt and mud. Anyone a little more perceptive might notice some smears and stains are a bit darker and stickier looking than the shiny mud. That would be blood.
Kazuha's face has a calm smile, despite the fact he seems to look slightly ill. His companion probably has the most intense sulk ever caught on camera.]
I'm looking for recommendations or assistance with, ah... [His cheeks flush with embarrassment.] I've swallowed something and need it removed, hopefully without cutting into me. We've tried a few things, but unfortunately, I've not really been able to force a gag reflex.
[The young man next to him decides to add in his own comment—]
Preferably in under 24 hours... Moron here might not live long after that.

[Said so calmly it's as if he's just stating facts and not being utterly mortifying for everyone in this conversation, probably.]
my life is far more lively with Childe, and I find it's quite satisfying.

[Have you ever seen someone utterly baffled by the words 'friend' being used when talking about Childe? Well now you have.]
Friend. So he pesters you for fights all the time.
[Does Childe do anything else? He doesn't know. But that's the only 'lively' thing he can think of. Either way the Geo Archon is an odd one.]

[ whatever bite to his tone he might have had is softened considerably, and the teasing that he levels at Scaramouche is less acidic and more playful than it usually is. ]
And what if I do? I know a strong opponent when I see one, why would I let the opportunity pass me by?

[He raises a hand to his chin slightly, frowning a little.]
He has asked for a fight, but he hasn't been an annoyance at all. And Of course I intend to give you one eventually, Childe. As soon as I find a suitable area I do not fear damaging in the process, anyway.

[Ladders are a thing or just climbing onto the counter. He can be tall!]
Aww, well aren’t you lucky. Do everyone a favour and kill him when you do.

Really? You know, since you said it you can't take it back. That's not allowed.

[There's something sharp in Zhongli's gaze for a brief moment: a warning, perhaps, to not suggest such a thing again in front of the former Archon.
But that sharpness fades against the sheer excitement of Childe's reaction, and it's replaced by a smile that is undeniably fond, directed at the man by his side.]
I would never. My word is as solid as stone, and I must admit I am curious to see your full might.

Shame. I suppose I can wait for Tartaglia’s time to end naturally, but I’d be surprised if he makes it that far.

his attention is momentarily pulled from fawning over Zhongli and whatever impending fight they may have, and the expression on his face is almost deceptively jovial. he's still excited at the prospect of having it out with Zhongli. ]
You really think I have that many years left? That's probably the nicest thing you've ever said to me, you know. Why don't I take you down with me? You wanna go?

But the fact that Childe can joke and laugh about such a thing settles in Zhongli's chest in a way that feels both wrong and painful. His lips thin, eyes losing that fond warmth and replaced by a faint hint of-- Confusion? Pain?
It's hard to tell, on a man as stoic as Zhongli.
He completely fails to grasp the humor in those jests, and so stays silent, letting them continue their banter.]

Don’t get used to it. And I already told you I don’t want to kill you, a fight to the death would hardly be entertaining. I have better uses for my time.
[Like having to wait around with an idiot samurai to get a Gnosis out of his stomach. Definitely planned this one…]

he’s spent enough time around him that the look in his eyes is foreign and out of place.
what’s with that expression… ]
Zhongli? What’s wrong? Are you constipated or something? [ he says, in full hearing range of the communications device. ]
