(( The face on screen is a young man's with bright eyes and dark curls. Excitement shines through his expression. There's no trace of confusion, only a bubbly sort of eagerness that creeps from his look to his soft voice. ))

I do hope I'm using this correctly. We haven't such devices in my world.

(( How easily he accepts this new world in which he finds himself. It isn't the first time Silver's found himself in a strange land. At least this one resembles home in the most basic of ways. Other than this device, much of the technology he's seen thus far seems the same. ))

It is my understanding that magic fuels this place. I would be much obliged if anyone would be willing to sit with me and discuss your experiences since you've been here.

(( He pauses abruptly, looking somewhat abashed. ))

Ah, forgive me for getting ahead of myself. This is all so exciting! My name is Silver, Henry Silver, and I am a folklorist. I study the magical and marvelous in my world and I hope to do the same now that I'm here. It's always best to play to one's strengths, is it not?

(( Another pause, and the giddy smile returns to his face. ))

Greetings, Henry Silver.

[Runyu bows his head politely and it's easy to see his draconic features. Those horns and blue eyes are hard to hide with video. As are the scales at the edges of his face and going down his neck.]

It is my understanding that a folklorist would commonly study the beliefs of a group of people. Is that what you are doing with asking about our experiences?

[There's no suspicion here. He's genuinely just curious.]

(( My, those traits look a lot like what he imagines a dragon to be. It makes him giddy. Silver smiles on his side of the camera and nods his head to affirm Runyu's question. ))

Yes, sir, that is correct.

[dragonrising]

I cannot say I have a great many since I like to keep to myself. But I do wear some of the results of it.

[He gestures to the dragon features.]

My ties to others have led to these. For others it's usually a random creature. For me it was my own dragon nature surfacing.

[inthewood]

(( Oh God he's so thrilled right now! It's hard to maintain his composure. ))

You're an actual dragon?

[dragonrising]

[He laughs softly and smiles before nodding his head.]

Yes. I was born one.

[inthewood]

I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting a dragon!

[dragonrising]

I hope I will not disappoint. Though I am not sure if I am as fantastical as stories would have one believe.

[inthewood]

How could you?

(( His pale eyes shine and he takes up his leather-bound notebook to jot down a few details. As far as he knows, no one from his world has ever met a dragon! He's not even sure if they still exist. If they do, they've been very clever in hiding. ))

Would you mind, sir, if I ask a few questions?

[dragonrising]

I don't. I'll do my best to answer them.

[inthewood]

Approximately how big would you say you are in dragon form? From tip to tail?

[dragonrising]

Ah. I'm not sure. I'm not certain what form of measurement you would use.

[He frowns as he ponders though, trying to come up with a good comparison.]

I suppose...small enough I could fit comfortably in a large lake were I using my real body. But perhaps large enough that my head is the height of an average man from nose back?

[inthewood]

Mmhmm.

(( Silver writes it all down, each detail that Runyu's willing to give him. He can estimate how many meters Runyu's dragon body might be a little later. ))

And, may I presume your coloring is the same silvery white of your current scales?

[dragonrising]

Yes. These are a smaller reflection of what my scales look like.

[inthewood]

(( More note taking, the scratch of pen on coarse paper before he looks back to Runyu's image on the screen. ))

Where I come from, it's commonly believed that dragons breathe fire. But in other cultures, they have other elemental alignments. IS there a particular element with which you are affiliated?

[dragonrising]

[Runyu finds himself pulled from his ponderings and smiles.]

Water. I'm strongly associated with water and ice in particular. I've no ability to handle fire or heat.

[inthewood]

Interesting. And, sir, are you cold to the touch like a reptile while in human form?

[dragonrising]

I am. My skin is quite cool. If I wish to be warm I require the aid of outside forces such as other people.

[inthewood]

(( Silver writes this all down, his mouth forming the words silently as he scrawls them in his notebook. ))

Could we meet so I could gauge your temperature?

[dragonrising]

My temperature? Yes, alright. I don't mind. May I ask where you are? It would probably be easier for me to find you since you're new.

[inthewood]

Yes, yes of course!

(( Instead of trying to describe where he is, he turns the device around and walks in a slow circle to show his surroundings. ))

[dragonrising]

[Runyu laughs but at least he's able to tell where that is by looking.]

Give me but a moment. I will be there shortly.

[It's convenient being an Immortal here because it means he's able to will himself from where he'd been sitting before to suddenly be standing behind the man.]

Henry Silver?

[inthewood]

(( Silver starts at Runyu's sudden appearance. A hand flies to his chest and he laughs at his own surprise. ))

Yes, yes. I'm Silver.

[dragonrising]

I'm Runyu.

[He offers the smallest bow, polite as befitting of his station.
He offers him a smile after.]

You wished to find out my temperature?

[inthewood]

It's such a pleasure to meet you!

(( And finally! A name he can pronounce without brutalizing it. He bows his head slightly in turn then takes a step close to close the distance between them. Silver's hand stretches out and stops short before touching Runyu. An apologetic look comes over his features and he chuckles self-consciously. ))

Do you mind if I...?

[So eager. It's cute honestly. He smiles and shakes his head.]
