Hello, Nippon! I'm noticing a lot of new people, so I thought it would be fun if we played a little game called "Hot or Not."

Just post a picture of yourself or something and we can go around with our opinions as to whether or not you're attractive. I'll be playing too, once I get some bookkeeping stuff done at The Crypt.

Indeed, but they do in a pinch. Thankfully, I rarely need to use these but they do come in handy should the need arise.

I believe that's the same kind I normally use myself. Protection isn't necessarily why I use them, I just like how it looks.

[He sends another picture of one of his leather patches, this one seemingly handcrafted as it was black with embroidered windmills on one side with a couple calla lilies on the other. This one also had a string to tie rather than loop around his ears, although he had that kind too as well.]

I've had options for... prosthetics but I also enjoy the bold, class-defying look. There's no reason they can't be elegant and functional.

Prosthetics? Oh! My eye isn't missing so that's never been the issue.

Hm, how do I put this. While I have likened it to covering any other body part in the past, it isn't as though I don't have a reason outside of style. But to answer your question, no, I've not had any disparaging remarks.

I have been called a pirate, but that's probably because the original eyepatch I used to wear was my grandfather's who was, indeed, a pirate. I didn't continue his legacy but his memory did live on in the eyepatch! Well, before an unfortunate accident in Nippon had been lose it. A shame, really.

A generational tribute. That's honorable of you that his visage lives on in you regardless.[ He thinks that's the right word for it. The more Kaeya explains the more curious Bricks gets but he thinks he understands even this much. Maintaining an air of mystery is important! And cool! This person is cool! He should be cool back and respect said mystery! ]

Loathe as I am to admit it, I've experienced something of the inverse where my attempts at appearing more... shall we say lower class to fit in somewhat backfired. "What do you think you're a scoundrel wearing that?" I was decried. What little they know!

Incidentally, a person with the username of "tartaglia" seemed to get an odd impression in the same vein. Do you know of them?

Well, of course they would take offense. No one wants to be patronized, even if that was not what you were doing. Class warfare is a bit tricky and anyone of highborn status trying to appear lowborn will always been seen as an insult. That being said, if you truly have a missing eye then I don't see how wearing an eyepatch would immediately call for insults. Eye injuries happen.

[Perhaps Teyvat was a little more liberal in that sense, but as far as he was aware, no one actually wore an eyepatch without a reason. Injury or no. Fischl wore one because it helped her see through Oz, her familiar's, eyes much easier. And of course, Kaeya himself really was hiding something behind his eyepatch but no one had yet to ever see it aside from one person and as there were no signs of injury on his face, it truly was a mystery.]

Yes, I know of him. He returned? Well, that's a shame.

[ All it takes is being nice to Bricks a whole once for him to passionately support almost anything out of said nice person's mouth. ]

It was dreadfully rude and inconsiderate, especially towards a Penderyn such as myself.
