Humans shouldn't be kept as pets or... worse than that... or used for things they don't want.

Are you saying you had two human lovers? Why say it as if you kept them as if they were animals?

[sorry, because daeshim has his doubts. humans can do this terrifying thing called lying.

but he's not upset. he would warn him that cute can be dangerous, monsters can be cute one minute and...well, monsters the next. he has a form that he keeps hidden for this very reason.]

i am as different from you as you are from a cat, or a bunny or a bird. you asked about pets, so i began at the beginning.

My husband keeps a mabari. All he requires is food, activity, and regular companionship to be the happiest dog.

That sounds like it is doable. I've never been around a lot of animals.

Pet care is pretty much the same as us. Keep it fed. Make sure it has water. Exercise. Quality time. Socialization. Love.

Quality time makes the biggest difference. You learn what they need, then.

[ He switches to video since it’s Bishop. He’s pretty sure the other is just a little ways away from him but he’s finding sometimes it’s easier to talk freely when he’s not in person with people. ]

good start. but here's the thing, there's no 'best', each animal'll be different and have different needs. just love it, feed it and don't kill it and you're good to go.

strays on the street, sure. never had a pet of my own though. cats kinda look after themselves.

that’s good to know, I think. That cats do that… strays on the street sound kind of sad, though.
