[Gaura is honestly rather used to getting lost. He's been fired from enough jobs for being late to work because of it, after all. So now he feels like maybe that happened here? Yes, he's had everything explained to him but that certainly hasn't stopped the confusion.

But after going in circles for several hours he's finally discovered this feature and he's giving it a go.]

Hi there. [He gives a smile. A look he's figured out is usually the thing to get someone to help.]

Could someone help me out? I seem to have lost my way to my apartment and nothing is really looking that familiar. Is Koreatown familiar to anyone at least?

(( The touch surprises him. But after the initial stiffening of his fingers, they curl around Gaura's firmly as if he might slip away. Silver knows it's his own fault he's been so lonely, just holed up in his apartment with his books and his notes and his drawings instead of making an effort to meet people to fill the void. He smiles fondly at Gaura and gives his hand a light squeeze. ))

I'm already glad we met.

[At first he thinks he might have done something wrong. Not being able to read expressions always makes moments like this hard. But soon his hand is being taken in return and even squeezed. Somehow he's done this right and Gaura lets out a breath of relief as he smiles gently, lowering his gaze.]

I know what it feels like to be alone. How much it hurts and weighs heavily. If I can help to keep those feelings at bay for you I'll be happy.

There must be someone you left behind, right?

Ah...

[He hesitates a moment then smiles and shakes his head.]

In a way...maybe. But I wasn't close to him. He saw me once and told me I was pretty. Eventually he took me in and agreed to take care of everything I needed. I don't really know him that well but not having to worry about always being fired from jobs and losing places to live was nice. So I agreed. Otherwise I really have no one.

You have me, now.

(( It sounds like Gaura's life was lonely in a different kind of way. Silver always had his close-knit family and then Tobias and Bramble. Bramble, who is as amazing as she is alien. He definitely learned a lot from her. ))

That is... I mean, you're free to come and go as you like! You don't have seek my permission for anything.

[Gaura laughs softly and offers Henry's hand a reassuring squeeze.]

It's alright. I know you don't mean to keep me prisoner. No one ever has. The fact that you wish me to be around you at all, to befriend me and want to talk to me... It means so much. I've never really been able to get close to anyone before. This... This feels good.

I don't see why! You're very personable.

(( Truly, it seems odd to Silver that someone as kind as Gaura seems to have so few connections in life. Well, not any longer if he has anything to say about it! ))

Ah! Here!

(( He gives Gaura's hand a little tug in the direction of a nearby restaurant. It's one he's been to before that's relatively close to his flat. ))

[He almost says it's because he doesn't know who they are but Henry distracts him by tugging him to the restaurant. Curious, he looks at it as they get closer then step inside.]

It smells wonderful...

They serve a noodle soup called ramen. Have you ever tried it?

(( He's very eager to share what few things he's already discovered in Nippon. ))

[He ends up being unable to stop a giggle from bubbling out.]

I really like ramen. And sushi. Their my favorite Japanese dishes.

I never had either before coming here. I don't know much about sushi. I've been afraid to try it.

If they have some here you can try a bite of mine. I'll get it so you can try it.

[He smiles brightly.]

It's not that scary. Promise.

(( Silver looks hesitant, but then breaks out in a smile. It's a thoughtful offer. At least the food won't go to waste if he doesn't like it. ))

I'll take your word for it. Do you want to share the ramen with me, too?

[Once they're sat down, he looks to see if they do offer sushi and lights up when they do. Making sure to pick a few different flavors of fish, he smiles at Henry again.]

What's food like in England? What's your favorite thing to eat?

I'd be happy to share.

(( Silver hums thoughtfully and looks off. ))

I've heard it said that the British conquered half the world for spices and use none of them. Which is to say I've heard people call the food bland. But I think it just tastes like home. I'm very fond of a hearty meat and potato dish so things like beef Wellington or pasties are some of my favorites.

Maybe if you describe them to me I can experiment to try making them for you. To give you a taste of home.

[He loves to experiment with cooking so he definitely won't mind doing that for him!]

(( He can't help feeling warmed by that. Especially considering he's been spending most of his money eating out... when he remembers (or feels like) eating. He often finds himself fixated on some project or other and loses all track of time. Having another person around would certainly keep him from slipping off into his own world too much. ))

I can write it down for you when we get home. What else do you like to cook?

Anything really. There was a time when I didn't know if I'd have a job or a home the next day so I would distract myself by experimenting with food. My favorite is when I can grow vegetables and make things with that though.

[He's not sure he'll be able to do that so often here. Maybe one day when he has money to get a plot for it.]

It's fun.

(( Silver nods. He never had much of the so-called green thumb until very recently. Though he hasn't had a need to grow anything since arriving here, maybe he should. The apartment could use a little extra life in it. He worries he might end up neglecting any plants, though. ))

Maybe we could see what we can grow indoors?

If there's rooms with enough sun...

[He smiles though.] But I'd be happy to have plants there if you are. I can even take care of them since you'll be busy with your work.

There's at least one that gets a lot of sunlight most of the day. If you remind me, I can help take care of them, too.

[Giggling softly, he shakes his head.] You're busy so it's fine. I can take care of things so you won't have to worry about them.

(( He fakes a pout then shakes his head. ))

Hopefully, we'll be busy traveling together!

[Gaura doesn't seem to notice the pout at all, his expression just going dreamy at the thought of getting to travel with someone.]

That sounds wonderful. We'll get to see so much.

It might be strange at first. There are a lot of... um, not quite human creatures here. The yokai, the ayakashi. And then you'll meet regular people who've acquired animal features. It's quite the place!

(( And Silver sounds absolutely giddy about it all. ))
