that's not a problem vampires deal with, where i come from. i guess the first choice would be some tests with sunscreen or some such, or kizuna related magic or potions.

How to make it so they can go in the sun.

There's no real proper solution for that in my world, but I know they've got potions for that here.

They're expensive and hard to find, but more common in the west. Some yokai need them.

But the effects are temporary. And if it wears off while you're out... well.

We had vampires in my world, aye, servants of the Enemy like Thuringwethil and her ilk. But how like or unlike they are to yours, I know not.

What are they like in your world?

My twin brothers, the Ambarussa, would know more, for Thuringwethil's forces perferred the gloom of the thick woods like their holdings in East Beleriand had.

But what I know... they were lesser maia, mostly, we think, spirits of the world in service of the Enemy. Bat-shaped and bat-winged, with the faces of men and women, they could shapeshift, although that skill I don't know if all possessed. Thuringwethil was one of their chiefs, the Lady of Shadows, and she served as the right hand of Sauron, the Enemy's lieutenant. They could, and did drink blood, and like all the Enemy's creatures they could tolerate sunlight but they loved it not.

Where I'm from, vampires are considered dangerous because they prey on humans. The ones I've encountered were hundreds of years old and reclusive. That is to say, they generally didn't interact with humans other than to hunt. Each has a particular prey preference and manner of disposing of the bodies. The last one encountered threw them in the sea. The only truth from the stories is that they drink blood and cannot tolerate sunlight.

Mm... the one I know, he drinks blood but he doesn't want to. He didn't want to become a vampire and he can't be in the sun and he hates that too.

There was nothing those vampires were able to do to mitigate the sun's effects?
