Has anyone gotten a love letter before? They seem to be long, don't you think? I like the imagery and the emotion, but when it feels like I'm reading a scroll, I can't remember all of it!

I was trying to see one of the most powerful of immortals - that's why I wanted to go to Heaven.

I've often found that the Powers have... different views to the rest of us Incarnates.

[ That's diplomatic right? ]

They do? Why? [She always saw them as almost...parental...figures. But she has seen not every immortal in a high position uses their power for good.]

Well... and bear in mind I speak only for my own world! But I find that the Powers are ... by and large... too removed from us Incarnates and our affairs.

[ He says slowly ]

Only Lord Ulmo and his vassals have ever truly seemed to understand us, and even then not entirely.

[ Osse may be fond of him, but Maglor is well aware that the capricious maia could squash him, purely by accident ]

Do all mortals feel that way? [Here they are with so much power and they can't reach the people who probably need them the most. Jin Mi looks apologetic.]

I don't know. Many Men see the Powers as Gods, and as far as I can tell have very little to do with them. But I grew up in Valinor, and watched as they set free their brother to wreck havoc on our family, and then abandoned Beleriand until... well. That's another story. Suffice it to say that I don't have the best opinion of them.

[ He hums, the sound like the rolling waves ]

He is Lord of the Waters of Arda, and of all the Great Powers, he is the only one who did not abandon Middle-earth entire, even if he did not actively act.
