(( Well here's a fresh new face on the network. He smiles brightly and waves at the camera as if addressing good friends he hasn't seen in a while. The same hand that waved, cards through his messy dark hair more out of habit than anything else. ))

Hiii~ My name's Will. You can probably guess I'm new here. I'm sure I'm not the first to do this and sorry for being repetitive. I'm looking for someone: a cute fellow Fae with striking blond curls. If you've seen him, could you please let me know? If not, I'll just have to search elsewhere!

(( Another wave, some finger guns, and he cuts the feed. ))

(( Riley's so animated when he talks about the things he loves. It's infectious and Will's smile can't stop growing broader and broader. Except, of course, when he's drinking from his milkshake (which is delicious by the way!). ))

Maybe we can try some together?

Hang on! I'll go get some things here!

[After taking another sip of milkshake, he gets up and heads to the front so he can order a number of pastries for them which he carefully balances then sets them down for them to share on the table.]

I got as many as I could carry, Will.

[He's finding it so easy to connect with Will. He encourages everything he loves and even wants to join in on them with him.

Would be also like his art? Him reading to him? He hopes so because it's really freeing to get to share all this with someone who seems to know him so well already.]

So I see~!

(( And he couldn't be happier to try each and every item Riley brought over. Just spending time with the other was enough to make him happy. He lays out a few napkins so they can split the pastries without making a mess all over the table.))

Do you have a favorite? I'd like to try that first!

Try this one! It's got candied strawberries in it so it's extra sweet. They told me I'm the main person who buys them because most think they're too much.

[Breaking a strawberry tart in half, he offers it to Will, so thrilled to be with someone who appreciates sweets as much as he does.]

(( Too much for a normal human palate meant it was just enough for them! Those dark eyes light up and he takes that half that Riley offers. Their fingers brush, but Will's quick to pull his hand back to his side of the table. ))

I love candied strawberries.

[Will's hand is warm and he feels his heart rush a little. But the contact is over as soon as it began and Riley is left trying to tell himself that maybe he shouldn't crush on the Fae he literally just met. Even if they're close in their world. Will might be seeing someone, after all!]

Me too. Do you like chocolate covered ones too?

I like any kind of strawberries.

(( But the candied ones were the best. According to Will. His smile dimmed long enough to take a bite of the pastries and his eyes went wide when the taste hit his tongue and Will flapped his free hand as he hummed loudly in approval. ))

Ooh my gosh! That's so good!

Right!

[Riley's face lights up at how Will appreciates how sweet the pastry is. Giggling a bit, he takes the other half and has his own bite, happily wiggling at the flavor.]

It's like heaven in your mouth.

Mmm!

(( He's too busy taking another bite to say anything more at the moment. Once he's chewed enough of it to push it into his cheek he nods once more. ))

I see why it's your favorite!

[He takes another bite, a nice big one that gets a little bit of the sugar on the corner of his mouth.]

Would we do things like this together? In your time? Go out and have sweets?

Mmhmm.

(( He nods, still smiling as he finishes the bite. ))

You like to tease me for enjoying coffee with my sweets.

[He makes such a face at that.]

Well I can't blame me for that. You're hurting the poor sweets by mixing them with something so bitter!

(( Exactly the sort of things Riley would say! It makes him laugh how familiar it all sounds. ))

I don't have your intolerance for bitterness.

You're lucky you like sweets so much otherwise I'd have to say you have poor taste in food!

[He takes a great big bite of the pastry as if that somehow delivers his point more thoroughly.]

I can't help it! Coffee has as many varieties as flowers and I enjoy both!

Gross! Even sugar can't save coffee and I've tried to get it as sweet as possible!

(( He heaves a fake, dramatic sigh. ))

I can't even question your taste because you tolerate me.

For me I just me you but you seem pretty great. I can see why I'd more than tolerate you, honestly.

[He could even see himself seriously crushing on someone like this.]

(( Oh. What a sweet thing to say. He should expect it by now, and yet it still makes him swoon a little. He knows Riley's telling the truth, too, so he doesn't have to ask. Emotion plays over his face, something tearing at him: whether or not to tell Riley on their first meeting the whole truth of their future. But it seems unfair to. What if it changes the choices Riley would make if he knew what was in store? ))

I hope we can be very good friends again.

[There's something that's bothering Will. But Riley doesn't get the sense that it's anything bad. Maybe...something personal? He doesn't know but he does follow his instincts like he always does and reaches out to take one of Will's hands to give it a squeeze.]

I'm okay with already saying we're friends if that's okay with you.

I'm more than okay with that.

(( He turns his hand over in Riley's and curls his fingers around it. Perhaps more affectionate of a gesture than one might see between just friends, but it feels like the right thing to do to acknowledge this progress. ))

[Will's a naturally affectionate person like himself. He can tell with how he turns his hand over so he can hold his hand. That warms Riley's heart so much. His mafia family has been amazing but getting this kind of affection outside of them right now after everything he's recently been through? It feels amazing.

He smiles so warmly at his new...old...new/old friend.]

Then we're definitely already friends. I don't want to miss out on that when you make me feel so good.

(( It's not a surprise. They became friends very quickly in LA, too. It's more... a relief. Initially, Riley didn't know Will was Fae. He worried when that fact came to light that he's broken Riley's trust and swore he'd work to earn it back. But here? Well, he thinks he made it clear what he is and Riley still chose to meet him, to befriend him. That? That feels good.

He doesn't let got of Riley's hand, but he does look away from him to eye all the other pastries on the table. ))

Is that a vanilla scone?

[There's a lot about Will that tells Riley that he's got a big heart. He's kind, he's good with animals, he cares about the needs of kids... More than that there's some reason for him not getting along with the Fae and that's got to be part of it given how heartless they are. But he can ask about that later.

For now he's so content to hold the hand of his really cute new friend and look over at the scone. To which he gives a little grin.]

Bite into it. There's a surprise inside.

[A nice chocolatey one!]

(( To passersby, it like look a date. But to them, they're just a pair of affectionate friends. Well, that's not wholly true. Riley's lived in Will's heart for some time, but the time thing makes that a little harder to broach. Will's content to wait as long as it takes.

A curious brow quirks up and Will snatches up the scone with his free hand. Since the center is a surprise, he doesn't tear the pastry in half, but instead takes a bite directly from it. Riley wouldn't have suggested it if he minded sharing like that. ))
