[It's been quite awhile since Runyu last made a post of his own on here. But he's feeling the mood for it. So he turns on the video and offers a smile to the network as a whole before he starts speaking. His dragon features are on full display.]

You know, when I arrived here I had committed a great many evil deeds. I looked on this place as a sort of new location to finish out my years of isolation for all that I'd done. Yet as I've been here I've found friendship, love, and, most of all, healing. Though my crimes are still many and cruel, I've found that I can atone for what I have done here.

[He laughs softly and shakes his head.]

Yesterday I was blessed to witness two people I love so very much get married to each other. Something I never would have been able to be part of before through entirely the fault of my own. I'm grateful, to say the very least.

[The dragon lowers his head a moment with a soft smile.]

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things, I suppose.

[Runyu lifts his head again.]

I wondered if anyone has found healing here as well. A chance to grow to be someone better than they were and to heal from the shadows of the past. I'd like to hear your stories if you are willing to share them. Thank you.

We have a great deal in common despite living such vastly different lives. It's one of the things that drew me to you originally.

[theatrics]

A part of me wishes we did no have to experience some of the things we have, yet I would not change it if it meant not having this connection to you.

[dragonrising]

Sometimes I wish it but then I know that neither of us would actually be the people who we are. We wouldn't have been drawn together the same without those experiences to mold us.

[theatrics]

(( He nods in agreement. Then, Ouyang closes the distance between them to loop his arms around Runyu's waist, pressing against him with a content sigh. ))

[dragonrising]

[His arms and his tail immediately wrap around his love as he tucks him in close.] Can I interest you in spending the rest of your day with me instead of what you were doing?

[theatrics]

You could.

(( The words are mumured happily against his chest. There's nothing more important than spending time with his love. And he had no pressing plans anyway. ))

[dragonrising]

[He finds one of Ouyang's hands and brings it up to his lips to gently kiss it before guiding him to come sit on the porch to just look out at the garden. And so he can keep an arm wrapped around him as he does.]

How is your friend settling in here?

[After all, he's very fond of the bird since she's Ouyang's.]

[theatrics]

(( Ouyang is so comfortable with Runyu's affection. Anyone other than him or Mingye would probably lose a hand for daring to touch him so freely. But they are his loves and he welcomes their affection after all the time and effort they'd all put in to get comfortable with each other. Ouyang follows Runyu to the porch and nestles close beside him. ))

She is well. The aviary suits her and I let her fly freely so she's able to stretch her wings even when we are not hunting.

[dragonrising]

I've seen her fly sometimes when I'm out with Daiyu. She gets very curious and watches her the entire way.

[It's been very sweet actually. Runyu's been enjoying watching Daiyu bond with the beautiful bird.]

hahaha almost replied with Vegas

[theatrics]

It's my hope that they will bond. I think the more they're around each other, the better things will be.

They're certainly curious about each other. That's a good start.

[theatrics]

Their introduction went well.

(( He nodded silently to himself. It had gone very well, in fact! Gerel was calm and Daiyu brave. A perfect first meeting. ))

I shall have to get something to carry Daiyu in since I won't be able to hold her on the hunt.

[dragonrising]

What would be best for you? I can make it.

[theatrics]

Something like a mei tai. Are you familiar with this sort of thing? It is... a sling for carrying infants.

[dragonrising]

Ah! Yes, I know what you mean. [He reaches over to pluck a large leaf from a nearby bush. With his magic, he transforms it into the long fabric that he'd mentioned. Perfectly patterned in shades of green and brown to best go with the attire his love always wore.]

[theatrics]

(( Those feline eyes go wide at the transformation. Then a loving smile passes of his lips. ))

Seeing your magic at work never gets old.

[dragonrising]

I admit that sometimes I forget how wonderful it can be to others because it's so much a part of me. But I do love the look you get in your eyes when you see it.

[theatrics]

(( Ouyang offered a gentle smile. ))

It is even more special to me because it is your magic.

[dragonrising]

You say the sweetest things.

[He leans over to press a kiss to his cheek.]

I like that you don't share this side of you so readily.

[theatrics]

(( The affection makes him flush, but he doesn't shy away from it. No, when it comes from Runyu, it only makes him feel warm and valued. He leans in closer against his dragon and lets a small smile linger on his lips. ))

It is only for you, khairaa.

[dragonrising]

I like that.

[No, that's not what he should say. So he turns so he can face him better and cup his cheek fondly.]

I love that.

[theatrics]

(( Whatever softness Ouyang exhibits is definitely something that Runyu brings out of him. He was never what one could consider kind or empathetic. Runyu draws that out from him. Yes, there are some he would consider allies and others he would defend, but Runyu? His beloved dragon would always hold a special place in his heart and be able to see all sides of Ouyang. ))

I am comfortable sharing this with you.

[dragonrising]

[Leaning in, he presses a kiss to his lips.]

I love you. I'm forever glad that I was able to find you in this world. You've made my life so much better and I will always be grateful for that.

[theatrics]

(( Those gold eyes fall close and Ouyang leans in to meet his beloved's lips. He reaches up to brush his fingers against the length of Runyu's hair hanging over his shoulder. Now that he wears Ouyang's braids, it's a gesture that means a lot to the General. ))

I am also grateful for you, Runyu. You have opened my eyes to a side of life I never thought I could know.

[dragonrising]

You and I both deserved better and I'm glad that we can have it together.

[He smiles so warmly at him, leaning into the touch to his hair. He adores that Ouyang braids his hair like this all the time now. It's something so special for him. For them both really.]
