[Riley bursts out laughing then waves before hanging up.

But he knows how close he was so sure enough within five minutes he's walking in with a couple bags of snacks on his arms.]

[ As Riley walks in, Kinn stands up, adjusting the sling that kept his injured arm close. ]

Hey. Need any help?

Yeah! Try this!

[And he fishes into the bag and pulls out what seems like a chip. It's actually a rice cracker with spicy seasoning on it.]

[ And like the polite big brother, takes the chip and pops it into his mouth. His whole face lights up as he chews, nodding at Riley in approval.]

Where did you find this?

At one of snack places I go to. I bought a few bags so you wouldn't be stuck eating sweets with me.

[Riley beams so happily.]

Come on let's go to our room and we can look at my drawings!

Let me grab some of those bags. My right arm isn't broken.

[ But he's going to steal another chip first.]

Sure. Here's the bag with your snacks. I got you savory pastries that have meat and curry and stuff in them too.

[He hands the bag over with a huge smile.]

[ He takes the bags, munching on the second chip and finally decides what the hell. He'll go for trying to pull Riley in closer and kiss the top of his head. ]

Thank you, 'Nong. This is awesome.

[His entire existence lights up to get a brotherly kiss from Kinn. He's practically bouncing as they head further in.]

You're welcome! I knew you'd like them!

You know me too well!

[He's definitely in an agreeable mood, as they move up to their room.]

How are you going to handle having your own bed once we move?

You should come hang out in my bed. And Will can hang out there too. Oh! And our dogs and cat are here now too!

[In other words he won't suffer at all. He's just going to keep cuddling with the world.]

Dogs and cat? You mean you two had a zoo?

[ It isn't really surprising. He's now trying to figure out where to put everyone in the new place. ]

Yep! The dogs are Keats, Shelley, and Poe. And the cat is named George!

George!

[He nudges the door to their room open to let Riley in. ]

And what kinds of dogs are the others?

I don't know. They seem to be mixed breeds. But they're super cute. I drew them! When we get sat down I'll show you those pictures first!

[ Pleased and interested in what Riley had to share, he settles in, munching on another spicy treat. With one arm, he motions for the sketchbook. ]

I'm settled. Show me.

[Going to his pile on things, he grabs two books. Both he brings over but he flips through one to get to the right picture and hands it to Kinn before getting on the bed with him to cuddle.

He explains which one is Keats, Shelley, and Poe. And he even shows off George. When he's done, he gets out a sweet pastry to take a bite of it.]

They're great, right?

[He's still amazed by how easily he's accepted this. Was it because of Porsche's influence or the place itself.]

They all look really nice. I've never had pets, myself.

[Brothers and bodyguards don't count. ]

You'll really like them. They're really well behaved. I even found out that I'm Shelley's favorite!

I'm glad you have some more of home here with you, Nong.

[ Kinn can be happy for Riley. Things seem to be falling into place for the younger man. ]

So is it safe to say that you two might prefer one room and not two? Or maybe two because of the animals?

[He smiles at his brother then rests his head on his shoulder. Of course he's made sure to place himself on the uninjured side for this.]

Um...we haven't really talked about it. I thought maybe two so he'd have his own space. But now things are expanding and the animals...

[Riley hums in though.]

Maybe two anyway? That way even if we share a room we'll always have space for everyone who wants to be with us.

[Even if it just means someone needing to come get cuddles. Like he's going to insist for his brother.]

[ He easily winds an arm around Riley for those cuddles and pauses in his snacking.]

That's a good idea. So how goes it with you two, anyway? And you're still seeing the scorpion tail guy?

Xie? Yeah. I'm dating both of them now. And I've talked with both of them and they're okay with me seeing both of them without them being involved with each other as long as the two of them can be friends.

[It's kind of what he expected originally to happen when he first wanted to date Xie. That or to be told to get lost. He would have understood either way. That's not how things had gone and he wonders if it would have been better if it had started that way.

He doesn't know and he knows he can't change the past.

Riley shrugs a bit and eats more of his pastry.]

I just felt so drawn to them when I met them. It just felt so right with both. I figure as long as I keep my heart and time and words open to both then we'll be okay. Xie wants to live with Baiyi and Will wants to live with us. So I'm going to accept that and enjoy how happy I am with them.

[ Sits there, thinking about it. ]

I think it takes a very special person to be able to do that. Share your heart like that.

[It's not something he could do, that's for sure! ]

Romantic love is complicated enough with just one other person. I can't see managing it with more than one and have everyone come out unharmed. At least not for me.

[It feels really good to hear something like that. That he's a very special person to be able to share his heart the way he is. It makes him smile and he gives his big brother a kiss on the cheek.]

That's okay. I think as long as you're happy with who you're with and taking care of them then it's okay that you can only be monogamous. That's special too.
