[ Seeing someone in a hospital bed might be somewhat common a sight for Nippon. This time, the young man pictured is being checked over by a nurse - his pulse is being taken as the feed continues. He doesn't look the most happy, more impatient and maybe even a little worried as he sits mostly still for the check up.

Finally he pulls away and glances at the communicator he'd been given. Perhaps he'd been interrupted just before he was going to speak? His lips go thin in mild irritation before he seems to make an effort to draw himself up straighter, ignoring the nurse's cautioning words to not overdo it, they'd just gotten that hole closed thank you! ]

[ His eyes might be begging one of these people is his wife. ]

[ A little older, but still oh so familiar. Especially that expression. That alone settles some of his worry - it means this place hasn't changed his brother-in-law. Hasn't broken him. ]

[ That gets a startled blink and a harder look, brows drawing together as he stares at his brother-in-law. They haven't always gotten along, but they also haven't always been at odds. Especially once he'd gotten his head out of his ass. Mostly. ]

[ The last person that Yanli thought she'd see again was the man on her screen. It made her tail twitch and her ears perk a bit. It was interesting that this had come not long after her brother's talk too.

Of course she remembers that hospital well. It's where she'd been when she first showed up. When her husband and brother had practically fought about who would get to her first. ]

A-Xuan.

[ She will leave a note for her baby brother to let him know that she went to get her husband. After all, she can't just leave him sitting alone in the hospital. ]

The smile she gets is soft and even sweet, full of relief and all the love he has for her. ]

[ That smile causes her a bit of relief. Despite the fact that he's injured she can't help her own smile. ]

[ Her light is blinding! He loves her smile. Oh, the ears and peek of a tail he can see are a little strange, but she is still his precious wife and that's all that matters.

'Our home'? That's somehow more and less strange than everything else, and he has to sit on more questions.

[ She keeps the device on for a little bit before eventually shutting it off. Yanli heads straight to the hospital and finds out where her husband is before moving to the room that he's in. She hates the feel of this place and the smells of it.

She can't think of that at the moment, not when he's there. So, the moment she sees him she moves over and sits down on the side of the bed and reaches up running fingers through her husband's hair, giving him a warm smile. ]

A-Xuan. How are you feeling?

[ He holds onto the device like a lifeline, just as content to not fill the air with noise but reluctant to close this connection with her just yet.

Then she's right there, and he feels like he can breathe easier as she sits beside him on the bed. He leans into her gentle fingers, any pain he might be feeling is brushed aside as he reaches up to cup her face. Then lifts his hand further to brush over her hair and ears, too curious at the change not to see if they're real. ]

I'm fine, A-Li. [ He answers immediately. Perhaps too abruptly, and ducks his head with a little grin before peeking back up at her. ]

Really. They fixed the main injury. All I need is to rest.

There are. (What does Zixuan remember? Wangji is being cautious for good reason.) Are you in one piece?

[ Regardless of Lan Wangji's entanglement with Wei Wuxian, Zixuan has always respected and admired him. And really, he doesn't hate Wei Wuxian. Even with the whole 'probably responsible for his death' thing. ]

[ A complicated mix of emotions flash over his face before his gaze lowers and he forces himself to think before just blurting out whatever comes to mind. Just speaking without thought tends to get him in trouble.

But he knows how his precious A-Li feels about the menace. He knows that Wangji cares for Wei Ying, for whatever reason. The former matters the most to him, even above his own feelings.

So he lifts his gaze back to meet Wangji's. ]

That surely is a joy to A-Li.

[ But he still has to ask, even if it takes him a moment and his brow furrows. ]

[ By the time he answers his device again, his surroundings have changed. Jin Guangyao might recognize them as being in the house where Yanli lives.

Seeing his half brother brings a small smile. ]

A-Yao, it is good to see you. No, A-Li brought me home. You are welcome here.

[ He means it sincerely. As far as he's concerned, his half brother has been poorly treated and he'll do all he can to heal that pain. ]

[Yes that was a very familiar place indeed. He himself used to reside there until only a month prior. His background was of a busy tea house filled with Jin and Jiang colors.]

Oh, That's good. Please settle in. I'm certain Saozi probably has some soup cooking for you, but I'll bring some things as well. I know where the house is and I'll be there soon. I just need to close up the shop.

[He wasn't certain how he felt about his half-brother yet. He was still kinder to him than the rest but they were not really close or anything. He would certainly murder his sister-in-law. So there was that.]

[He's both thrilled and concerned when he sees the message from Jin Zixuan. It brings back all the memories of that horrible time that was a long time ago to him now. However, even if this turns out as awkward a greeting as he had with his shidi, he has to make the effort.

He learns that Zixuan isn't at the hospital anymore and it doesn't take a genius to figure out where he's gone. He makes a little bit of effort with his appearance, putting on his favorite cloak, and heads to his sister's house. He's aware that he's going to look older and.. well.. like Mo Xuanyu. (Oh that's going to be fun!)

Of course.. on the way, he comes up with an idea that he just can't resist and when he shows up, he's carrying a box with a pretty Jin gold ribbon (or as close to it as he could find). He waits about thirty seconds outside his sister's house before letting himself in, although he does call to let them know he was there.]

Shijie? Jin-gongzi?
