[Gaura is honestly rather used to getting lost. He's been fired from enough jobs for being late to work because of it, after all. So now he feels like maybe that happened here? Yes, he's had everything explained to him but that certainly hasn't stopped the confusion.

But after going in circles for several hours he's finally discovered this feature and he's giving it a go.]

Hi there. [He gives a smile. A look he's figured out is usually the thing to get someone to help.]

Could someone help me out? I seem to have lost my way to my apartment and nothing is really looking that familiar. Is Koreatown familiar to anyone at least?

[There's someone waving. But he doesn't know what that means. Is it Henry? Is it a stranger for someone else? Trying to hide his mild distress, he looks back down at his screen. There's Henry. He's waving.

Face lighting up with relief, he stands up to face the waving figure to give a little wave of his own.]

(( Ah, good! He wasn't waving like a fool at the wrong person. Silver tucks his device in his jacket pocket as he approaches and holds out hand. ))

I'm Henry Silver. Nice to meet you in person.

[Taking the hand, he gives it a shake. Hearing his voice helps too. This really is the right person. Despite looking at Henry's face though, Gaura never seems to make eye contact.]

It's nice to meet you in person. I'm Gaura. Thank you for letting me live with you.

It's really no trouble at all! It's been too quiet all alone.

(( Silver nods in direction he came from. ))

It's not far from here. Would you like to get something to eat first?

Yes please. I am hungry after walking around so much.

[He laughs gently and comes to stand by Henry's side so they can walk together. Easier to make sure he doesn't lose him too.]

Are you familiar with Japanese food? Where you're from, I mean.

I've never had it, but I have heard of it. This place reminds me greatly of what I've read of Japan.

All the food here seems to be Japanese style. At least from what I saw on signs I passed. It's nice to see something familiar.

[He prefers Korean food overall but Japanese is still delicious.]

It's something I'm getting used to. (( Since Gaura's mention Japan and Korea(town), he thinks their worlds may have similar geography. ))

I'm from England.

Oh! I know where England is! I hope I can go there one day. When I have a passport at least.

[He laughs gently and plays with a strand of his hair.]

One day. But I hear it's wonderful.

(( A fond smile touches his face and he chuckles softly. ))

I am, admittedly, a bit biased. I find there is always something new and exciting to learn there.

I live in America. I was born in New York but I live in Los Angeles now. The guy who took me in before I came here told me he'd help me get a passport to take me around the world next year though.

[Gaura looks so excited by that. Even if he's obviously trapped in this place for now.]

I would like to visit America someday. It isn't quite the same, but we could travel a bit here. There are two kingdoms, East and West, that are interconnected.

[He lights up again as he looks over at Henry.]

Please. I would like that. Even if it's just places here I would love to travel with you.

I think travel is always more fun with a companion! There's a lot to explore!

Do you travel often here? For your work? There must be so much for you to learn.

(( A sigh slips from his lips and he shakes his head. ))

If I'm honest, I've been a little depressed being here.

[pinkblinded]

[Gaura watches him, unable to read any expressions on Henry's face but still trying.]

...Because you're lonely?

[inthewood]

(( He nods slowly. ))

I was expecting someone to rescue me by now.

[pinkblinded]

[He watches him a moment more while trying to think of what he can do or say to help. Finally he decides to just try something he always longs for when he's feeling sad and alone. Reaching out, he gently takes Henry's hand.]

I know I can't rescue you. But you don't have to be so alone now. I'm probably not the first person people would think to go to for this but I can still be there for you. If you wish.

(( The touch surprises him. But after the initial stiffening of his fingers, they curl around Gaura's firmly as if he might slip away. Silver knows it's his own fault he's been so lonely, just holed up in his apartment with his books and his notes and his drawings instead of making an effort to meet people to fill the void. He smiles fondly at Gaura and gives his hand a light squeeze. ))

I'm already glad we met.

[At first he thinks he might have done something wrong. Not being able to read expressions always makes moments like this hard. But soon his hand is being taken in return and even squeezed. Somehow he's done this right and Gaura lets out a breath of relief as he smiles gently, lowering his gaze.]

I know what it feels like to be alone. How much it hurts and weighs heavily. If I can help to keep those feelings at bay for you I'll be happy.

There must be someone you left behind, right?

[pinkblinded]

Ah...

[He hesitates a moment then smiles and shakes his head.]

In a way...maybe. But I wasn't close to him. He saw me once and told me I was pretty. Eventually he took me in and agreed to take care of everything I needed. I don't really know him that well but not having to worry about always being fired from jobs and losing places to live was nice. So I agreed. Otherwise I really have no one.

You have me, now.

(( It sounds like Gaura's life was lonely in a different kind of way. Silver always had his close-knit family and then Tobias and Bramble. Bramble, who is as amazing as she is alien. He definitely learned a lot from her. ))

That is... I mean, you're free to come and go as you like! You don't have seek my permission for anything.

[Gaura laughs softly and offers Henry's hand a reassuring squeeze.]

It's alright. I know you don't mean to keep me prisoner. No one ever has. The fact that you wish me to be around you at all, to befriend me and want to talk to me... It means so much. I've never really been able to get close to anyone before. This... This feels good.
