[Gaura is honestly rather used to getting lost. He's been fired from enough jobs for being late to work because of it, after all. So now he feels like maybe that happened here? Yes, he's had everything explained to him but that certainly hasn't stopped the confusion.

But after going in circles for several hours he's finally discovered this feature and he's giving it a go.]

Hi there. [He gives a smile. A look he's figured out is usually the thing to get someone to help.]

Could someone help me out? I seem to have lost my way to my apartment and nothing is really looking that familiar. Is Koreatown familiar to anyone at least?

It is. [He cups Gaura's face between his hands and speaks gently:] Would you like for me to look for a spell to aid you? You are very intelligent and kind; I don't like seeing any of my friends suffering.

[Even now it seems that Gaura can't make eye contact, even though he's clearly trying. He's never had anyone pinpoint something about him so fast and then want to help him and he's touched. There are tears in the corners of his eyes as he swallows.]

I don't know if there's a spell for me. I can see. I just...

[Can't recognize faces. Which leads to so many other complications.]

Magic comes in many forms. The problem likely doesn't lie in your eyes, but your mind.

[Xingchen dabs at those tears with his sleeve.]

I will study and if I can't find something suitable, I will ask my friends. We will find a solution.

Then... [He is a little teary himself!] You can see your face and recognize it in a mirror.

[pinkblinded]

[This time tears really fall as he draws in a deep breath.]

It... It doesn't seem real. Like that could happen.

[gentledawn]

Have hope. [He catches those tears with his fingers.] Do you like tea? I can brew us some.

[pinkblinded]

[Gaura nods then, at a loss for words. He's given up on hope for so long now that he doesn't know how to find it again. But he's trying at least.

Tea though. Tea sounds nice.]

[gentledawn]

[He keeps a healing, comforting brew in his pouch. All he needs is some hot water and a few cups. Xingchen bustles around in the kitchen, steeping the tea, before he brings the brew and some empty cups to Gaura on a tray.]

There is mint and lavender in this brew. I also added a little honey.

[Sitting down at the table provided there, he dries his eyes and looks up when Xingchen comes in with the tea. Offering a little smile, he nods.]

Thank you. Herbal tea like this is my favorite actually.

[gentledawn]

Mine too. [He admits, sitting down at the table once he has poured them each a cup.] I keep plenty of herbs around. They are useful for more than tea.

[pinkblinded]

They are. They can be good for cooking as well as medicines or meditation. They're even known to be used to ward of evil spirits. [Living a lonely life means he's learned so much about things like plants and music instead.]

[gentledawn]

You are well-educated! [Xingchen beams; oh he knows all about loneliness. Finding things to fill the time can be difficult.] I am a Cultivator. I was taught by Master Baoshan Sanren for much of my life. Ah... Cultivators fight evil spirits, demons and monsters. We protect the innocent.

[pinkblinded]

[Gaura's cheeks color right away as he lowers his head.] I really like plants and had a garden I cared for at home.

[Curious about the Cultivator thing, he looks up curiously.] You protect them from evil?

[gentledawn]

I could use your help gardening if you are interested? The Four Season Manor has a large garden and the flowers need care.

[Gaura would get along well with the delicate blooms, he thinks.]

I do my best.

[pinkblinded]

[He can't stop the way his eyes light up at the chance to take care of a large garden.]

Please. If that's alright, I'd really like to help.

[gentledawn]

I can show you the way tomorrow if you like. [The trees and the flowers will be a good sanctuary for such a gentle spirit.]

[pinkblinded]

[His face lights up at the thought that he'll get to know where the garden is starting the next day.] Thank you. I'm excited to see it. I'm sure it must be beautiful.

[gentledawn]

It is. Zhou Zishu is the owner of the Manor - along with Wen Kexing. They have planted and tended to the garden with great care.

[He feels blessed to have seen it from the beginning.]

Do you like cherry blossoms?

[pinkblinded]

[He's clearly feeling better talking about one of the two things he's passionate about, a smile all over his face.]

I love them. They cover the world in my favorite color when they're around.

[gentledawn]

I had a feeling you were drawn to them. [Xingchen grins and reaches across the table to tug gently on Gaura's hair.] Such a pretty hue.

[He reaches up to touch his own hair then laughs softly.]

I can find myself in pictures like this. Not many have my color so it means I know which one is me.

[gentledawn]

The color suits you. I can imagine you resting under the cherry blossom trees.

[Like a fairy!]

My coloring is more suited to moonlight, I'm told, but I do love flowers.

[Gaura tilts his head to look at Xingchen's outfit and pale skin then smiles again.]

A moonflower then.

[gentledawn]

You think? [He sounds and looks pleased by the comparison.] My husband and I used to travel from town to town, helping those in need. I was named the "bright moon and gentle breeze" and he was called the "distant snow and cold frost". Though I don't think his does him any credit. He is very warm to those he cares about.

Maybe that's why he has the name though. Because the people didn't know him well. [He can't say for certain when he doesn't know the man. However, with how quickly people have judged him without knowing him he knows what people can be like.]

He could be a snowdrop then. So you are a moonflower and he's a snowdrop.

[gentledawn]

I think that is likely. [Poor Zichen. The more modern term he has learned for his soulmate is "introvert". If people want to avoid him or fear him, very well. Xingchen will just love him more to make up for it!]

No wonder he and I crossed paths!
