Hello everyone. For those who saw the injured man looking for Pete, I'm him. He found me... [More like Pete found him.] ...so that's settled. He's in good care now.

[But now onto the main reason he's posting.]

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of any training grounds or a shooting range? The shooting range would be especially great but I'll be happy to accept just a training ground too. Mostly I just want to make sure I don't end up too lazy.

[And he wants to test his new gun...]

Also if anyone has food recommendations here let me know. Especially good if it's take out that I can bring home to share. Spicy is a bonus.

My temple has a training grounds that includes an archery range. You are welcome to use it. And there are plenty of restaurants and inns with good food to meet many different preferences. I do not eat much in terms of spicy, so I would not know where to suggest.

Your temple? I didn't realize the people brought here would have had temples made too. [He wonders what the religion is there.]

An archery range does have some potential though. Do you mind if I were to do some work on one of the targets to make it sturdier?

I was fortunate to have been permitted to build to my requests a few months ago, so I could teach and train people here who wished to learn. Or to simply use the grounds for their own disciplines.

Do you mind if I ask what the religion is for your temple?

[Train people? Disciples? He's definitely good about praying when he has the time but he can't say he's devout enough to understand all of the things that go into it. Or if this is even the same religion. It might not be.]

Not at all. I and my husband are Daoist. We do not require anyone who wishes to train here to follow our religion, only to respect the space.

The fare we cook here is simple, but you are welcome to it as well.

[So not his religion but still welcome to other kinds. That's pretty nice actually. He'll have to let Vegas know about that. Not that either of them are that devout but that's not the point. Sometimes religion is comforting.

I would hate to do that. We live with a doctor currently and I have been able to get out to get food for him so he'll have a taste of something that isn't just plainly nutritious.

(( Oh ho! His eyes light up when Pete reveals the weapon. He definitely feels better knowing Pete's armed. The man is dangerous without a gun, to be sure, but having one always makes the job of bodyguarding easier. ))
