[It's been quite awhile since Runyu last made a post of his own on here. But he's feeling the mood for it. So he turns on the video and offers a smile to the network as a whole before he starts speaking. His dragon features are on full display.]

You know, when I arrived here I had committed a great many evil deeds. I looked on this place as a sort of new location to finish out my years of isolation for all that I'd done. Yet as I've been here I've found friendship, love, and, most of all, healing. Though my crimes are still many and cruel, I've found that I can atone for what I have done here.

[He laughs softly and shakes his head.]

Yesterday I was blessed to witness two people I love so very much get married to each other. Something I never would have been able to be part of before through entirely the fault of my own. I'm grateful, to say the very least.

[The dragon lowers his head a moment with a soft smile.]

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Thousands of years of life will make you ponder a great many things, I suppose.

[Runyu lifts his head again.]

I wondered if anyone has found healing here as well. A chance to grow to be someone better than they were and to heal from the shadows of the past. I'd like to hear your stories if you are willing to share them. Thank you.

[He laughs a bit at that. Ouyang's dry sense of humor will always tickle him.]

Oh dear. I forgot to make this private before saying so, didn't I.

[theatrics]

(( The smile, though subtle, remains. ))

We are equally at fault for that.

[dragonrising]

Well I have no regrets. I love showing off what a wonderful man I have devoted my life to.

[theatrics]

(( Cue a faint blush. ))

Just this one life?

[dragonrising]

[His gaze warms even more.]

Every life.

[theatrics]

I look forward to being found in each like after this.

[dragonrising]

I will find you every time until I can keep you at my side for eternity. So we will always be together.

[theatrics]

I know that you will keep this oath.

[dragonrising]

Yes. I swear it on everything that I am and ever will be that I will keep this oath to you, Ya'er.

[theatrics]

I will always wait for you.

[dragonrising]

I will find a way for us to be together. I won't allow time or space to stop me. I am yours for eternity.

[theatrics]

(( SWOON! ))

I am honored.

[dragonrising]

[He laughs softly.]

Come to the garden. I want to show you the gift Mi'er gave me today.

(( Give him a moment and...

There he is, walking up to Runyu at an eager clip. ))

[dragonrising]

[Around a trellis is a large moonflower. It hasn't fully opened since it isn't night yet but that doesn't take away from the beauty of it. He smiles over at Ouyang and beckons him closer.]

She's beautiful, isn't she.

[theatrics]

(( Ouyang comes closer, nodding in greeting to his beloved dragon before turning his full attention to the plant. ))

It's night-blooming, yes?

[dragonrising]

Yes. A moonflower. Mi'er grew her for me to thank me for marrying her and Xufeng yesterday.

[theatrics]

She seems very kind.

[dragonrising]

She is. That is something that has always remained true for her no matter what she endured. Or rather, will endure in her future.

[It's what drew him to her originally.]

She and Xufeng are going to be very happy together. I'm grateful for that.

[theatrics]

(( He knows Runyu loved her. Maybe still did in some way. So he reached out to lay a hand on his beloved's shoulder. ))

Was this difficult for you?

(( Even just a little and Ouyang would be there with all the support he's able to offer. ))

[dragonrising]

In some ways. But I needed to do it. Not only for them but for myself as well. To somehow make up in some small part for all the pain that I put them both through.

[Reaching out, he gently strokes a petal.]

I'm glad that I did it. That I could be part of that happiness this time.

[theatrics]

(( Those golden cat eyes drift to Runyu's fingers on the petal. So gentle. And yet he knows how much power, how much danger they could pose. ))

Then I am happy for you, too, khairaa.

[dragonrising]

[He looks over to Ouyang with a smile, grateful for his support in this.]

Thank you, Ya'er. It means the world to me to hear you say that.

[theatrics]

Your happiness is important to me.

[dragonrising]

And yours is important to me.

[He turns to face him completely now, cupping his face gently.]

You smile so often now.
