[It was only a matter of time, he supposed, before one of the strange effects of this place happened to him. That doesn't mean he's pleased about it, however. Slightly paniced and quite annoyed, bordering on angry, would be a more accurate way to describe his current mental state.

He is currently glaring quite menacingly at his own reflection at the moment. At the two elk horns that has started to grow from his head, if you wanted to be precise about it.]

If anyone knows how to make these go away I would be very grateful for the assistance.

[His voice is level, almost emotionless, but there is an undercurrent af anger to be heard for those who knows him well enough. One of his ears twitch in annoyance and he notices that though it is still pointed it is now covered in a soft velvety fur now.]

I would hope so, after so many years of training to handle you unruly lot.

[His lip curls up in amusement.]

I am an ever indulgent older brother. But if you perch upon my antlers I will dump you in a pond whilst you sleep.

I would complain that you're making us out to be massive annoyances, but it's true...

Into a pond? You'd wet these lovely feathers?

You were, but you were adorable massive annoyances.

[He grins]

It wouldn't be the first time I threw you in a pond. Sometimes it was the only way to get you lot to calm down and behave. So, feathers or no if you make a nuiscance of yourself I'll dump you in a pond.

[Maedhros rolls his eyes]

Perhaps by not perching on your older brothers antlers?

But where else am I going to perch when my wings get tired? [ He leans teasingly on his brother ]

How about a tree branch?

But a tree isn't my loving older brother~

But it would be the natural habitat of a little songbird~

But what if I get lonely in the tree~

I'll sit under it and keep you company~

[ He pouts ]

And deny me the warmth of your arms when I fall asleep and fall out?

You could always come down once you start to get tired?

Is that a promise for snuggles? [ slyly ]

When have I ever denied one of my brothers that when they ask for it?

[bythewaves]

[ Maglor falters, just briefly, recalling the times when Maedhros could not, but he rallies, determined to keep the mood light ]

It's true, you're terribly indulgent of us~

[holdshisown]

[Maglor's pause does not go unnoticed and though he does not let the mood falter Maedhros brings his brother in for a hug.]

I am. It keeps you all out of trouble, at least for a little while.

[bythewaves]

Hm, you spoil us, Nelyo!

[ he is happy enough to accept the hug, pressing close ]

Such a good brother you are.

[holdshisown]

I like spoiling you lot, little though that some of our brothers might deserve it.

[Good, because he's not really wanting to let his brother go.]

Only as good as you deserve.

[bythewaves]

[ Maglor relaxes into his hold. If he changes all the way, at least his brother is here ]

I think you overestimate our deserved-ness...

[holdshisown]

[They'd make a pretty puzzling sight if both of them ended up changing all the way. But no matter what happened Maedhros would be there for his brother, he'd even let him perch on his antlers every once in a while.]

It doesn't really matter wheter or not I do so, I would love you all the same even if you were the least deserving creature on Arda. I don't have it in me to do otherwise.

[bythewaves]

[ Maglor would be happy to sit in Maedhros' lap as a bird, if he changed and his brother didn't! But he's going to stick close no matter what ]

And this is why you are truly the very best of brothers. Thank you, Nelyo.

[And Maedhros would make sure nothing ever even came close to harming him in such a vulnerable form.]

I don't know about that. You're not such a bad one yourself, you know? You need not thank me in any case, I am just glad to have you as my little brother. That is truly all the thanks I really need.

I think you are the only one who might say so... I know you don't think so, Nelyo, but I feel I have failed you far too often.
