[It was only a matter of time, he supposed, before one of the strange effects of this place happened to him. That doesn't mean he's pleased about it, however. Slightly paniced and quite annoyed, bordering on angry, would be a more accurate way to describe his current mental state.

He is currently glaring quite menacingly at his own reflection at the moment. At the two elk horns that has started to grow from his head, if you wanted to be precise about it.]

If anyone knows how to make these go away I would be very grateful for the assistance.

[His voice is level, almost emotionless, but there is an undercurrent af anger to be heard for those who knows him well enough. One of his ears twitch in annoyance and he notices that though it is still pointed it is now covered in a soft velvety fur now.]

And am I not equaly close to you? Wouldn't I know best how to conceal from your eyes what I did not wish you to see? The truth is that we were both hurt and exhausted by then, neither of us were as sharp and vigilant as we once was when it came to what was going on around us.

[ooc: So true. Mae is the ultimate oldest sibling who thinks everything is his problem to deal with and Mags is the one that internalizes everything as somehow being his fault.]

[ A sigh and Maglor turns to press his face against his brother's shoulder ]

Maybe. But I still can't forgive myself.

[And he in turn rests his head against his brothers, holding him just a bit tighter.]

I know. It is a hard thing to do, forgiving yourself, but I will be here with you until you can find it in yourself to do so.

[ Maglor grumbles, feeling several more feathers sprout but not at all keen on leaving the hug ]

In that, brother-mine, I fear I will have to disappoint you.

I will never be disappointed in you, Kano. Not for anything like that, and if it is so I will just have to stay by your side until the end of time.

[He smooths the feathers down with a gentle hand, removing any lose and moulting ones he finds so that they will not itch and discomfort his brother.]

[ Maglor grumbles and decides to stop fighting the push to change, since hopefully as whatever bird he's going to be he can't talk and that way he won't have to keep fighting with his brother about this because he's right and Nelyo is just too good to see it ]

[ And with that there's a large black raven perched in Maedhros' arms ]

[Maedhros shifts his grip on his brother by pure instinct once he starts to change, keeping him as comfortable as he can in this new form. It wasn't what he was hoping for but he knew full well the possibility was there so he is not as taken aback as he could be. This is still his brother and he will love and care for him just the same no matter which form he takes.]

Kano...

[He reaches out tentatively with his mind, mentaly nudging him in concern.]

[ Ah crap he forgot about that trick...

He chirrups back at his brother, shifting a little before settling in his arm, making himself comfortable ]

I'm fine [ He promises ]

Less itch

[Luckily for Maglor he wont push him right now. To relieved that he seems to be doing fine. He runs a gentle finger along his feathered head instead.]

Good. That's good. You need anything?

[bythewaves]

[ He nudges into the finger with an appreciate croak ]

No.

[ Hm, he's some sort of corvid, isn't he. He's pretty sure he can sing. Let's see... ]

Sing for you

[A fond smile blossoms on his face. Even as changed as he is there really is no mistaking his brother for anything but himself no matter what form he's in.]

Lovely. Thank you, brother, you always did know how to ease my worries.

[bythewaves]

[ He chirps, pleased, bobbing up and down in an approximation of a pleased dip of the head, and then hops a few times and stretches his wings.

Lesse. He remembers how it felt with Maedhros' fire mask wing things. Maybe he can make it up to his brother's shoulder? ]

[It doesn't take a genius to figure out what it is Maglor is intending to do so Maedhros discreetly prepares to help him should he misjudge how his new form works.]

[ Maglor flaps a few times and tries to time his hops to his flaps, finally managing a stumbling flight to Maedhros' shoulder.

Kinda.

HOW DOES ONE GRIP WITH THESE FEET AAA ]

[This is why you don't just jump right in to things, Maglor. You practise first so that you actually know how to grip things with your feet before you try to land somewhere.

If he falls off Maedhros is prepared to catch him before he hits the ground.]

[ Shush he has to learn somehow!!

Sorry for the frantic flapping that may smack you a bit, brother. And um. He's sorry if he grips too hard. ]

Didn't fall!

[ Only just ]

[Just start small!

It's alright. He's not so fragile that being slapped in the face by a wing will even register as more than a slight annoyance. It's a far sight better than when Maglor used to pull his hair as a child.]

I noticed. You good now? You're not going to lose your balance or anything?

[bythewaves]

[ He DID. Not his fault you're a tree, brother!

He wobbles and then bobs, proud, and preens his brother's hair ]

Balanced!

[holdshisown]

[Stop height-shaming him! It's not his fault he's unreasonably tall!

He chuckles a bit at his brothers antics, but he's happy he's getting the hang of things swiftly enough.]

Good, I don't want you to fall off and hurt yourself.

[bythewaves]

[ Fine, he'll blame their parents then.

Maglor croaks and then whistles, cheerful ]

Nelyo would catch me

[Rather blame their grandfathers, they were likely where it came from.

As long as his brothers happy so is he.]

That I would, but I'd rather you didn't fall at all.

[ He wants a beard, if they're blaming the grandfathers. If Maedhros can have the height, he wants the beard!

Maglor preens his brother's hair again with a chirp ]

Yes mother

[You'd look very dignified in one, he's sure. But if you haven't grown one by now it's probably not going to happen.

He hums along as his brother fusses with his hair, content to simply sit with him like this.]

Thank you for the compliment, brother, being compared to mother is no great hardship for me.

[ Maybe he's just not old enough yet!

Maglor croaks - a crow's laugh - buffeting him gently with a wing ]

Nelyo nags like mother

[ he agrees ]

[Really? He's pretty sure he's more than old enough for it by now.

He rolls his eyes at Maglor's antics but doesn't really do anything else about it.]

I do not nag! And neither does mother, we just point out very obvious truths that the rest of you seem to have a problem grasping.
