You don't have to sound so sceptical about it... [He is very grateful that there were no dragons hanging around Valinor while Tyelko was growing up. The bear incident wasn't that bad, the velociraptor however...]

It was only natural that they'd try to protect themselves. But I think it might not have been a conscious action on their part.

I think you're right... they were far too young. And tis not as if either of us knew to look for it, or train them how, even had we known.

I do, but there was no dragons in Aman so... I never had to worry about one of them going out to hunt them. [No, but it did make a mess of his room before Tyelko was forced to return it to the wilderness.]

Young and frightened, it was probably just an instinctual reaction on their part. I'm not sure anyone outside of a Maia could have trained them in those skills.

I suppose now that Elrond is going to Aman he might finally have a chance to learn... [ Elros won't, but then again, Elros chose mortality, and who is to say if that wasn't a similar type of change ]

...That would have been worse than the velociraptor. [That does sound like something Tyelko would do.]

I didn't agree that I never wanted to speak of it again. Just not anytime soon after that incident. I think enough time has passed by now.

He will. He will see his wife again, and his parents as well. Even if there will still be the pain of what he has lost there will be joy as well.

Unfortunatley it seems your whims do not govern the universe, Kano. So we will just have to live with the fact that there are velociraptors and brothers with the ill sense to drag them into our home.

[He supposes there is no real way for him to stop you from your dramatics, so if they make you happy...]

We will have to put all of our stubborness into it. [No. Neither of them wanted to see Elrond sad.]

I don't know... we have both set ourselves tasks that will be hard to accomplish. It is impossible to tell which one of us will succeed first. But... if I leave the Halls before you reach Aman, I will not just wait for you. I will swallow my pride and entreat the Valar on your behalf, even if I have to humble myself before them... and if they will permit it I will come for you as well.

I still don't know why he thought it was a good idea. [ This is why Tyelko is his Least Favourite brother... ]

Honestly? I don't think he puts too much thought into his decisions... [Which is why he is the brother he worries about the most.]

We must. [Because failing would mean hurting Elrond and their mother more than they already had.]

And sooner or later we will meet again. Don't worry. I will... take as much time as I need to heal properly this time. I won't get into trouble but if they let me out then surely they must also want you to return, don't you think? I don't think there will be any harm from simply asking them.

You couldn't help it. [ He murmurs ] I understand. I'm not angry about it any longer.

Maybe so. Still... I will not let myself heal wrongly this time. [For he was certain that that was part of the problem. Something inside of himself that he had allowed to set crookedly while he was recovering. And just like a bone that had healed wrongly he would probably need to rebreak it before he could set it right.] I'm angry with myself, though. I shouldn't have let it get that bad to begin with. [He kisses his brothers forhead in both affection and appology.] I will truly make sure I am whole this time, I promise.
